Chalet Saint Loup has been built and furnished to the highest standards using both contemporary design and traditional materials to create a luxury boutique chalet. Sleeping ten guests in three double bedrooms and a family suite with double bedroom and separate wooden bunkroom, all rooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is the option of accommodating a further 2 guests by using additional beds in the 2 larger rooms.

With open plan and varied living areas, the chalet is the perfect retreat for friends and families in luxurious and relaxed surroundings. Backing onto a dense forest of fir trees and with stunning views of the Grand Massif and Mont Blanc, in the ski season the chalet really is a "winter wonderland", in the summer months the tranquil surroundings offer the ideal summer getaway, in all seasons a genuine feel good home from home.

The chalet has a large 8 person hottub in the garden and a traditional Finnish woodburning sauna, inside there is free wifi throughout together with sky television.

The chalet is offered on a fully catered basis, with the excellent standards and level of service our guests have become accustomed to, or on a self-catered basis.

As owners and hosts we have been running the chalet since 2007 and live in a separate part of the chalet so are on hand throughout your stay to provide you with any information and assistance that you need to make your stay more enjoyable. Drying facilities and a boot warming room is available in the winter

The Chalet benefits from under floor heating throughout as well two log burning fires to ensure your stay during the winter is warm. To ensure minimum impact on the environment the chalet is double insulated, heating is provided by a wood burning boiler, the sauna is heated by a wood burner and all our electricity is from a carbon neutral supply.

The entrance hall is available for use during catered bookings only and not for self-catered bookings as this provides the only access to the owners accommodation and the woodbuner which heats the chalet to which we need to maintain access at all times. A large open plan lounge area and dining area remain available for self-catered guests.

Further details outdoors

There is adequate parking outside the chalet and a car will be required. In the winter months the road is cleared of snow daily, we recomend that guests hiring cars from Geneva hire from the Swiss side of the airport as this simplifies the journey, further advice can be given at time of booking.

The Grand Massif region

Samoens is set in one of the most beautiful areas in the Haute Savoie Region with fantastic facilities on your doorstep both in summer and winter.

There is something for everyone here, and In the summer the surrounding area is filled with amazing flora and fauna and within driving distance there are many beautiful classic Savoyard towns and villages to visit with some great cities within an hours drive, Geneva, Aoste(Italy) and Annecy where you can visit one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe. With its lovely castle, canal walks, shops, restaurants and historic entertainment a visit to Annecy is a must. Some world class golf courses are also well within an hours' drive including Chamonix and Evian Masters by Lake Geneva. Some of the best skiing to be had anywhere and numerous outdoor and cultural activities are avaiable in both winter and summer.

Samoens

The only French ski resort to be listed as an ancient monument, Samoens is an enchanting resort unspoilt by commercial pressures. There’s skiing for all tastes, from powder and off piste, seriously steep blacks and moguls, wide open pistes and leisurely green runs through the trees, all crowned by stunning views of Mont Blanc.

The Grand Massif has one of the most reliable snow records, with runs up to fourteen kilometres long, 285 kms of tended trails and slopes, limitless off-piste terrain, and lifts of every shape, size and description.

There are also many other winter activities to keep you occupied; from snowshoeing to igloo building, dog sled rides to skidoos, or simply toboganning and building snowmen in the chalet garden. We are on hand to assist you in booking or organising any of these activities during your stay.

Away from the slopes the village of Samoens has a medieval square, gothic church, timber-fronted patisseries and picture-box houses, it offers a good selection of shops, café bars, restaurants and other facilities to ensure your stay isn’t just about the time you spend on the slopes but about enjoying the time off them too.

In the Summer there are many local cultural and music festivals, rock climbing, via ferratta, lake and beach, volley ball, tennis, paragliding, horse-riding, ballooning, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, helicopter rides over Mont Blanc, Golf and canoeing....quite simply too many to list!
