About the home

The Domaine Deymarie up to 24 persons may also accommodate for smaller groups in mid and low season. The atmosphere is warm and traditional with traditional crepi walls, open fireplaces (some for decorative value and one functional fire in the main farmhouse kitchen) creating a warm and charming atmosphere for the cooler evenings in low season.

The property has full central heating for the low season rental, the cost included in the rental price. During the hot summer season the terracotta tiled floors and thick stone walls create a cool haven from the heat. The fitted kitchens and created in walnut wood, the tables and wardrobes in antique cherry wood. The Domaine Deymarie has a games room of 63 m2 and garden and barbecue.

The main house a large kitchen, dining room comfortable seating 15 persons, 2 bathrooms and two shower. The two showers with wash basins and two large bedrooms on the first floor three bedrooms and a mezzanine with three beds. Also a separate toilet and a bathroom.

Leading from the main house adjacent a "pavilion" is a covered veranda enclosed with patio windows with a large farmhouse table for seating 22 persons. The "apartment" you have two bedrooms a bathroom and toilet and a large kitchen the "pavilion" you have a very small kitchen and two small bedrooms for children and toilet and bathroom.

The games rooms you have table tennis, sightseeing, billiards, swimming pool, garden barbecue. At the exterior of the property you have walking, canoeing, fishing, horse riding, and the beautiful towns Perigueux Sarlat and the sites of interest from some of the most magnificent chateaux and the oldest prehistoric sites.

There is many beautiful towns Sarlat , Beynac la Roque Gageac Castelnaud Domme in the valley Dordogne treasure of the Perigord Noir. In the valley Vezere, there are all the prehistoric sites and some castles. There is bastides and strongholds in the south. In the area of Bergerac, there is vineyard of Pecharmand and Monbazillac, in Perigueux there is the architectural Gallo-Roman city. There are beautiful other towns and sites of great interest like Brantome.

Rental price is dependant of the number of people, the heating is not included. The property has central heating. The cleaning service on departure is 280 euros; home help is available on request 14 euros per hour; linen sheets and towels 220 euros per week.

The caves of the Valley Vezere are home to some extraordinary examples of our ancestors first artist expressions, their is after Gallo Roman cities, medieval bastides and fortresses serve to remind us that the crowns of France and England once fought over this land.

Dordogne is the country of the tradition of flavours, duck, goose, truffles, porcini mushrooms, walnuts, straw-berries, chestnuts, vines... The growing of local produce and breeding here are part of a long tradition and the art of gastronomy reigns over most dinner tables. Traditional farmers markets provide the perfect occasion to sample the delight of the land direct from the source.

The Rouffignac St Cernin area

The Valley Vezere curves and cuts a path between vertiginous limestone cliffs covered by forest of chestnuts and holmoaks. There is Bergerac airport at 50 km, one hour by the road with a car , and possibility to rent a car at Bergerac airport. Bordeaux airport is at 2 hours by car also possibility to rent a car at the airport. airport Bordeaux Merignac and go to the motorway A 89 (Bordeaux -Lyon ).

You have the motorway at 25 km of the Domaine Deymarie the exit is: Perigueux Est Sarlat and you go in direction of Sarlat . on the road you have a small village and on the left you to Rouffignac . Bordeaux Merignac airport is at two hours of the Domaine Deymarie with the motorway.

You have also the motorway Paris Limoges Brive and the A 89 Perigueux the exit is at La Bachellerie direction Thenon and after Rouffignac the Domaine Deymarie at 25 km of the toll motorway.
