About the home

This traditional Cypriot style apartment has a lovely Mediterranean feel, bright and sunny, cheerfully decorated with everything you need for your holiday. A water cooler has been installed, to quench your thirst during those hot sunny days. The apartment is located at the foot of the rock of Profitis Elias Church. It is lit up at night and gives a stunning view from the kitchen window. To get to the little church at the top of the rock you need to climb approx. 190 steps. From the top the view is amazing of the whole resort, plus you can see Famagusta City (The ghost town) in the distance. The apartment is located close to Restaurants, Bars, Kiddies playground, Mini golf etc. but a good distance away from the noise of the nightlife. There are daily buses to the nearest towns and Ayia Napa from the end of the road.

The apartment is suitable for 4 persons but a put up bed can be provided for a fifth person, please arrange this when booking. The apartment has a water cooler, a must to quench the thirst on the hot sunny days. There is also a toasted sandwich maker ,washing machine and a hairdryer. On the balcony there is a gas b-b-q. We have recently installed satelite TV.

This apartment is 10 mins walk from the golden beaches and clear blue waters of Protoras. In Cyprus there are no private beaches and you can use all hotel facilities and swimming pools.

The best beaches in Cyprus are located on the East Coast of Cyprus and the waters are crystal clear. All kinds of water sports are available, boat trips, scuba diving, coach tours or even try a jeep safari to the Troodos mountains and the North of Cyprus. There is the largest water park in Europe in Ayia Napa, great for a family day out.

The Famagusta region

Cyprus has a typically Mediterranean climate, boasting 350 days of sunshine. Making it the ideal climate for all year around holidays. The island has long hot summers and mild winters with very little rain fall.

There are many places to visit and would recommend the Troodos mountains, the scenery is breath taking. You can visit Kykkos Monestery, steeped in gold and hand painted frescos and icons. Cyprus is famous for it's churches, you will find them everywhere.

There is plenty of nightlife in the bars and clubs of Ayia Napa, just a short bus ride or taxi away.

Limassol and Paphos are within driving distance for a day out by car hire or organised trip. It is possible to go on a one day flight to the Holyland for a dip in the red sea and Egypt to visit the Pyramids. Contact advertiser for more details.

With Beautiful Destination Protaras as your base you can explore the rural area and visiting the villages of Liopetri, Xylofagou, Dherinia, Sotira and Phrenaros. These villages have their own traditions of interesting handicrafts, churches, cuisine and traditional celebrations. There are picnic areas; a large variety of restaurants and of course many hotel accommodations

Beautiful Destination Protaras is close to the Cape Greco National Forest Park which is a proposed natural conservation area is in this region. Other interesting points to visit are the sea caves, Cape Greco, lighthouse, the bridge or Korakas archway, Agio Anagyroi church and Konnnos beach.

All these bays have water sports, sunbeds, toilets and places to eat and drink.

Larnaca is the nearest airport approx 45 mins drive to the apartment. There are some great deals on daily flights with Easy Jet and Monarch from various airports. Schedule flights from Heathrow with Cyprus Airways and British Airways. Also try using www.skyscanner.com they give you a lot of good prices with various airlines from all UK major airports. “Fantastic holiday let in an ideal location” Pat & Greg have done a great job and taken care of every detail to ensure your stay here is trouble free, everything from a toastie maker to water chiller to a BBQ on balcony is provided, it cost 1 euro to fill the water chiller (20ltrs) so cheaper than bottled, we bought one bottle and just refilled when we went out. 5 minutes walk to the main Protaras strip where you can take your pick of the many restaurants and bars our favourite was Bells Cocktail Bar not the cheapest but most certainly the liveliest. To summerise this apartment has everything you need to ensure you have a great time with Pat & Greg only a phone call away........Many thanks for providing such an ideal apartment.
