The Brittany / Morbihan region
Fine foods and good wine, a peaceful rural setting, relaxing outdoor pursuits and many beautiful beaches. The Morbihan region of southern Brittany can supply all of this... and more.
This quiet fishing and farming region of France is blessed with a beautiful and varied coastline and an interior of lush farmland, woods and moors to delight the country lovers.
The native Breton people, of Celtic descent appreciate their visitors and provide a warm welcome.
Their local 'Pardons' and 'Fetes', regional costumes, music, dances, legends and language maintained by the Bretons are a large part of the area's unique charm.
Brittany 's restaurants and bistros supply some of the best of French provincial cooking, very reasonably priced and in generous proportions.
You can't leave without sampling its 'fruits de mer', crepes and cider.
Brittany 's rolling hills, dense forests and lazy rivers, offer a variety of activities; from walking, riding and cycling to fishing and canoeing.
The rich architectural and archaeological heritage provide for excellent one-day tours; the fascinating towns of Pontivy, Josselin, Dinan and Vannes are full of historical interest.
Then, of course, there are the megaliths, churches and for the stout-hearted there's the 'quest for the Holy Grail' and the Arthurian legend.
To the south, a short traffic-free drive away, is the beautiful Golfe du Morbihan, a yachtsman's paradise, with all manner of water-sports and numerous little islands to visit on the regular ferries.
Or just relax in the sunshine on an endless choice of beautiful beaches.
.
Additionally the large lakes at Guerledan and Priziac offer excellent facilities for swimming, boating and sunbathing. Each cottage has details of local amenities and resorts to help you plan your holiday

Guestbook
"The coach house is wonderful and is a pleasure to stay in, the rooms are spacious and are very cosy they are well decorated as well. The pool is lovely and sometimes is cold but mostly warm, all the children love he dogs especially Bracken, but the other two are lovely as well. We would like to thank Marion for making the cakes and her home cooking is wonderful. All of us 21 people are sure to be back soon!" "We have had the most fantastic time with Al, Marion, Zoë, Emma and the dogs (plus puppies). We’ve never had a pool on holiday before. What genial hosts! The Coach house is the most enjoyable place to stay; the children have been in their element. We shall return for more of the orange stuff!!"

"A gigantic family get-together – 7 adults, 4 teenagers 3 children, 1 toddler- from 2 continents shared Chained Heart and Coach House…Great contests and happy sea battles were waged on lilos in the pool, games of football and boules were won and excursions to Carnac and Kerveillen beach were much enjoyed. We enjoyed the markets at Vannes and exploring the old port at Auray. Check out the castle at Josselin and young lads will probably enjoy the Resistance Museum at Malestroit".
