About this location
The Dordogne region
With its untouched natural beauty, the Dordogne can transport anybody to prehistoric times. Within Perigueux, one can imagine medieval trade in a town that managed to function independently from the royal tax hungry goverements/reigns in France.
Bordeaux, Margaux and St. Emilion, perhaps the best wine growing regions in the world, are about one to two hour's drive. The road signs look like the wine-menu of a high-class restaurant!!! This adds to the amazing worldly renowned gourmet food! Enjoy the natural beauty, the picturesque market towns, the chateaux, the gardens and many easily accessible tourist spots including the caves in Lascaux, Pompadour, Limoges and it's history of porcelaine production, Perigueux, St. Jean de Cole, le Chateau de Hautefort , Bergerac, the gardens of Marqueyssac and Eyrignac, etc....
With numerous prehistoric sites, the perigord suggests that CroMagnon man had VERY good taste! This elegant and bright "bijou" apartment, is conveniently located in the heart of the Old City in Perigueux. Elevator serviced, lovely 1st Floor 24 sq. mts. apartment that also also benefits from a 7 sq. mts mezzanine sleeping area with a full size orthopedic mattress which allows comfortable main room floor space. High standard and newly refurbished on Rue Condé just off the main Rue Taillefer in which the CATHÉDRALE SAINT-FRONT commands the skyscape crowned by five immense Byzantine cupolas next to a soaring belfry.
