It retains the original layout and features whilst being updated to modern day standards which includes oil heating and a wood buring stove.
Full working kitchen and large bathroom with bath and powershower. Open plan living room and dining room. Two upstairs bedrooms. The larger room contains double bed and single bed and the other bedroom contains two single beds. Both rooms are old time attic rooms with sloping ceilings. Decking area to back of cottage in a tranquil setting overlooking the river with steps leading down to salmon pool at bottom of garden. Private parking to side of cottage. Additional fold away bed available if required.
It is an Ideal location for a fishing, canoeing, walking, cycling, photography, artists, writing or simply a relaxing getaway. Stables for horses available 7 miles and enjoy trekking in nearby Gortin Glens. Two minutes walk to village leading onto ariverside walk. . Close to local hotel & restaurants and ideally situated for exploring the Sperrins

Sperrins Foothills is area of Scenic Beauty and is dominated by Bessy Bell (420m) which form the south western area of the Sperrins mountain range. It offers views of the surrounding countryside and as far away as Donegal mountains. Bessy Bell and the wider area are classified as part of the Sperrins Foothills Area of Scenic Quality. Bessy Bell is divided from the high summits of nearby Mullaghcarn and Slieveard by the scenic valley of the River Strule which flows northwards from Omagh toward the Foyle. Whether you are planning a quiet break or an adventure the North West has everything you need for a holiday to remember.
Newtownstewart is beautifully positioned village situated close to the border of County Tyrone and Donegal between Omagh and Strabane. It is positioned with two pictureque hills Bessy Bell and Mary Gray overlooking the village and the River Strule and Owenkillew which run through the village. The area is dominated by the local history with Newtownstewart Castle and Harry Avery O'Neills Castle. It is an ideal location to salmon or trout fish in the famous rivers Strule and Mourne or to explore the North West of Ireland.
Omagh is 16km away and Strabane is 17 km away. The City of Derry is 40km away. Local attractions include Ulster American Folk Park, Gortin Glen Forest Park , Omagh Arts Theatre & Omagh Leisure Centre
