The house, an old charentaise fully renovated in 2010, is located in the middle of the village of Mortagne sur Gironde at the estuary of the Gironde. The place is picturesque and authentic, still undiscovered by mass tourism. It is a great location to explore this fantastic region. Meschers, Talmont, La Rochelle, Marennes, Ile de Re, Bordeaux.....With the emphasis on discrete luxury and the rural French character, our cottage offers the absolute comfort for 6 people.
On the ground floor, you will find a stunning dining kitchen with a gorgeous open fireplace. The large inviting kitchen is highly outfitted with all modern amenities to put you on a culinary adventure. In the cozy lounge with fireplace you can enjoy a good book, a movie or just reflect over the past day. Upstairs are two large bedrooms and a comfortable stylish bathroom with whirlpool, shower and vanity unit. Outside you can enjoy the sun and the tranquility on the spacious terrace or garden.

The Mortagne sur Gironde area
The house is located in an unique and authentic village with a charming little harbor surrounded by white cliffs and the "Camargue Charentaise". Still undiscovered by mass tourism it is a great location to explore this fantastic region. Within a few kilometers, you reach Meschers with its beautiful sandy beaches, the lively port and thetroglodytes houses in the cliffs with remarkable views on the estuary. Stroll around the narrow streets of Talmont, an extremely pretty medieval village with its 10 century old church facing the sea or return into ancient roman history in Saintes with its amphitheater, Cathedral and commercial streets.
