About the home

The farmhouse has a large lounge with a wood burner and satalite TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, full fridge and has just been refitted. The upstairs has three berooms, a double, a twin and a family room with a kingsize bed and two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and there is also a downstairs toilet. The property looks out onto a courtyard. The gamesroom is for everyone to use and the owners are on site at all times to help make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.
The property is available all year round. Whether you want a quiet family holiday or a romantic getaway, the Farmhouse is able to sleep from 2 to 8 people or why not bring the whole family, we can sleep 30 people in 5 properties, giving you all your own space and the gamesroom is a great place for you all to eat under one roof.

The lounge has a three piece leather suite and a very large table to seat eight people for those family gatherings. The kitchen has just been re fitted and is fully equipped.

Further details outdoors:
The local area has a very large man made lake and is ideal for watersports. This is about a 10 minute drive away. It also has a man made beach for the little ones to make sandcastle and have a swim.
If you prefer to lounge by a swimming pool and soak up the sun try the 16' x 32' pool which is set in the sunniest spot.
During the Autume, why not take a walk or cycle ride by Lac Guerdalen or along the Nantes/Brest canal.
There are many places to visit, including chateau's and the resistance museum is a must see. There is also an indoor swimming pool in Loudeac. A great area to reach all parts of Brittany.
The area also has a golf course within 30 minutes drive of Le Cosquer and several other top quaility golf courses within an hour to an hour and 30 minutes drive. For more information regarding the golf courses please contact the owners.

Further details

During the season, the owners or a member of the family will be available to answer any questions, help solve any little problems which may arise, and attempt to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The heated swimming pool is a good size (16' x 32') with paved paths and an area for sitting. It is fenced off for the safety of little ones. The games room is a large barn and is a great place for the children to play table tennis (you might like to bring your own bats) or to sit and play board games plus there is an extensive library to keep you and your family occupied.

We have a large playing field for the children to run around and play games.
Le Cosquer really is the place to recharge your batteries in the tranquility of the Breton countryside.

When comparing prices, please note the following:

* All electricity to UK standard (3 pin plugs in all houses).
* Swimming pool, orchard and paddock.
* Games room with games, books, table tennis and freeview tv.
* Cots available at no extra cost,please let us know your requirements.
* Lake with watersports and beaches about 10 minutes.
* North coast about 40 minute drive, south coast about an hour's drive. Central location for visiting the many historic towns in Brittany, eg Josselin, Vannes and Quimper

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region

Le Cosquer is situated 10 minutes drive from Mur De Bretagne which is hosting a stage end of the Tour De France in July 2011. Ideal place to stay so you can be part of the stage end festivities.
Le Cosquer is situated one mile outside of the village of St Connec, which comprises a church, Mairie and play area, found in all French villages. Just five miles away is Lake de Guerledan, with sandy beaches and safe bathing for those who do no want the hustle and bustle of sea beaches. Boat trips, water sports, fishing, cycling and walking are all available in this very beautiful area. If you have your own boat, bring it! There are no launch fees and launching is very easy.

The Loudeac area

The area surrounding St Connec has many pretty villages with superb restaurants and churches, and along with the Napoleonic Castle at Pontivy, Bon Repos Abbey, La Forge des Salles, all go towards making this a great area of architectural study.

For those who prefer the sea, Carnac, with its long, sandy beaches, the megaliths and the oyster beds, is an easy hour's drive away. The beaches in the North, which don't get so busy, and as the coast is more rocky there are little pools to play in and many shells to be found.

There is a choice of all sizes of shops, from hypermarkets in Londeac and Pontivy, to the shop on site for basics.

Eating out is a pleasure,at the Lake, and in Pontivy and Londeac. All are very reasonable and very good. There's plenty to do, from sightseeing the lovely chateaux, visiting the coast or go-carting. We'll be there to tell you all about it.
