Apartment Alessandra is centrally located in the quiet and charming lakeside village of Lenno. Situated in a fabulous position within a small, private and secure complex, this first floor apartment has a terrace and balcony which overlooks the swimming pool, lake and surrounding mountains. It is tastefully furnished to a high standard and with a king size sofa bed in the lounge area, it makes it comfortable and relaxing for up to 3 guests.

The apartment is perfect for couples and families who want enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the lake and surrounding area. The village of Lenno has a number of cafe bars and restaurants, and with two main supermarkets within walking distance, a pharmacy and all other local amenities to hand, it makes your stay in Lenno a pleasant and stress free holiday.

* A 25% deposit is required when booking the apartment, with the full payment due 40 days before your arrival date.
* Cancellation - The vendor will be reimbursed 25% if the booking is cancelled 15-30 days prior to the arrival date and 70% if the booking is cancelled 14 days prior to the arrival date.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Lake Como is the 3rd largest and the most beautiful of all the lakes in Italy. Surrounded by lush green mountains it offers some of the most dramatic scenery in the region. Lake Como plays host to many beautiful gardens, Villas and lakeside villages and has its own micro climate which makes it a great place to visit anytime of the year.

There is something for everyone to enjoy including sightseeing, walking/trekking. golf, cycling, architecture, shopping or simply relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquility around the lake.

In the winter months it is possible to spend a few days skiing at the nearby resorts of Madesimo (77 Km) and St Moritz (106 Km).

The Lenno area

Lenno is a charming lakeside village, 20 km north of Como town, which is easily accessible by the main road from Como.

Lenno is the oldest village on the lake which is centrally located and a good base to explore other surrounding villages such as Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna. With its ample choice of services including its very own ferry point, Lenno is the perfect base for making your stay on the lake a very easy and pleasurable experience.

The bay of Lenno, which is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment, is the perfect place to relax at one of the cafe bar's, whilst taking in the lakeside views, watching the locals go about their daily affairs and to see how the local fishermen fish by traditional methods, as they have done for decades.

At the end of the bay sits the Lido Di Lenno, where the Lake and mountain views can be enjoyed over lunch or whilst relaxing on the sandy beach. The Lido has a number of Motorboats which can be hired to explore the lake and is also the point to take you around the headland to see the stunning and seductive Villa Balbianello. This grand house was used for the film set of the recent James Bond movie - Casino Royale.

If you are arriving into Lenno by ferry you will get the chance to see the 30,000 sqm Villa owned by Sir Richard Branson which you may have seen recently on the X Factor where Louis Walsh hosted his hopefuls. The villa can be rented for a mere 115000 EU a week!

The beautiful promenade in Lenno also hosts a lovely little market every Tuesday morning where you can purchase most things including local cheese, fish, vegetables and the tastiest roast chicken's ever!! English is well spoken on the Lake, however the locals are really encouraging if you want to try out your Italian. The market is a perfect place to try it, so go on. ..have a go!!

If you fancy a morning or afternnon of relaxation, pampering or treatments, then the new tranquil Spa- La Dolce Acqua, in Lenno is for you. This fabulous spa has massage and body/face care treatments,a solarium, whirlpool and various sauna's, showers and baths.

There are plenty of events and festivals across the lake throughout the summer months. These include outdoor concerts, dancing events, flea markets and the spectacular fireworks display in Lenno itself.

Nature lovers have a vast choice of hiking tours in Tremezzina, from the simplist of routes suitable for everyone, to more difficult trails for expert hikers.

A lovely lakeside walk which passes through Lenno is the Greenway Del Lago Di Como. Along the 10.5Km walk you can discover villas, gardens, Roman findings, quaint villages, restaurants, old Italian architecture, and expansive views.

Lake Como has many golf courses which can be easily reached by car, the closest being an 18 hole, par 70 course in Menaggio. The Menaggio and Cadenabbia golf course is one of the oldest golf courses in Europe enjoyed by local resident George Clooney. Most of the other Lake Como golf courses will require a 20 to 45 min drive from Lenno including the Circolo Villa D'Este which is named in the top 5 courses in Italy and considered one of the most challenging and difficult par 69's in Europe.

“Ideal lakeside location” Ideal location in Lenno on the shore of Lake Como - view of the lake and surrounding mountains. A compact apartment ideal for a couple and child. It is very child friendly with all resources for an infant. Apartment is very clean with all facilities including dish washer, washing machine, fridg/freezer, TV & DVD player. A good sized swimming pool. 10 minutes walk from 2 well stocked supermarkets and other amenities including quality restaurants and bars. Ideal location for walkers. Very good boat and ferry connections to other locations on the lake. Highly recommended!!

“An excellent apartment in a beautiful place” The apartment was lovely just right for 2 people,any more might be a bit of a squeeze. It was lovely and clean with everything you want. The pool was just right for a dip and cool off. Lenno is small but beautiful the restaurants offer very good food and the local house wine is all you need. The surrounding areas of Menaggio (best for ice cream) and across the lake to Belaggio make for lovely days out. We travelled on the motorcycles and found some lovely spots. The fresh bread and local wine form the Dino Market in lenno kept yus well fed all week. Go there and enjoy.

“Perfect” The apartment was very clean with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. There was a great view of the lake and surrounding mountains and being in a part residential area it was very quiet yet within a pleasurable walking distance of the town, lake and restaurants. The owner and management agent made the booking, arrival and departure very easy with no problems giving us peace of mind. The apartment made a special anniversary even better.

We had a fabulous week with our 13 month old baby. The apartment is lovely, very well equipped and quiet. The view from the balcony was better than expected! Bellagio was lovely but even better was Varenna. We also enjoyed sitting on the waterfront of Lenno - less frantic than some of the other towns.

The apartment is in a beautiful and unspoilt location. I hadn't realised how green the area would be. There is a nice little market in Lenno on a Tuesday where we were spoilt for choice for fruit and salad. The local eateries were very good - especially the local fish and wines. They were delicious. The lake ferries and taxis were good and made exporing the lake easy and relaxing.

We had a lovely week in this apartment - so well equipped and spotless! We enjoyed evenings sat on the balcony with a Gin and Tonic and had a couple of afternoons being very lazy by the pool in the sunshine! We explored Lake Como; so easy to travel by ferry or foot. We loved Varenna and Bellagio, however, going back to Lenno and chilling at the Lido bar and sports bar made our holiday. We were loathed to leave!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in Lenno. The apartment is beautifully furnished and very well equipped - we found absolutely everything we needed. It was situated in a perfect location with absolutely fabulous views of Lake Como and also very central for bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc. There is so much to explore around the lake and it was so easy to travel around - even with a baby!

Arrived to a hot 34 degrees - what a fabulous place. The apartment has lovely views of the lake and mountains. You certainly dont need a car. We arrived by public transport, using the bus, train and service bus to Lenno from Bergamo airport. It was very easy to do. The ferry is nearby and it is very easy to get to other places. Lenno is such a special place for us.
