Our family of 5 adults enjoyed our 2 week stay in this clean comfortable home in Le Bugue. Visited the great markets in the surrounding area, ventured to Bordeaux, St Emilion (great wines) Bergerac, Sarlat and other villages. Also Beynac medieval castle; Gouffre de Proumeyssac. Bar-b-qued on the patio, sipping wine and visiting with the neighbours, enjoyed breakfast in the clean, spacious kitchen. Easy walk around town. Recommend La Pergola Restaurant (awesome duck confit). Chai Monique for lunch.
Would stay here again without hesitation.

Fantastic house, really clean and well maintained. Kitchen really well eqipped and my daughter liked having her own living room. Lady next door really friendly always spoke when we saw her. Outside terrace lovely and sunny sometimes a bit noisy but only when lorries went passed. So nice to be close to town so we could walk and get fresh bread each morning and walk into town each evening with a lovely selection of restaurants. The aquarium and crazy golf and canoe hire are within walking distance which is great. Would definately recommend this house to friends may even be back ourselves.

Maison de Cingle - a great find!

Maison de Cingle was our home base to explore the Dordogne while we were on holiday with our daughter and her finance. The description fully met our expectations and we were extremely satisfied with the location, layout, and facilities. The property was clean, well-maintained, and was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. I can still remember opening the shutters in the morning and seeing the mist rising off the river. And we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the terrace at the end of the day with a glass of wine watching the world go by, and having a friendly conversation with the lady next door.
In advance of our holiday, the owner was extremely helpful and provided wonderful suggestions of places to visit. We visited many of them, including Sarlat-la-Caneda on market day, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Roque Gageac, Limeuil, and Cadouin to name a few. The house also had plenty of leaflets to thumb through for other day-trip suggestions.
I would highly recommend this property and would return again. We regret not having been able to stay a little longer as there is so much to see in the area!

Excellent location for exploring the Dordogne

Very pretty house, tastefully and sympathetically decorated. everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Yes, the road can be a bit noisy but we were out exploring most days and we found the shutters did the trick at night.
The house is perfectly located to explore the Dordogne. The town itself has everything you need after a day exploring; bars, restaurants and a supermarket all within walking distance. We found the numerous restaurants we tried to be good if a little erratic on service but hey, when in France.. chill.
The Aquarium and Le village du Bournat (next door to each other) are a very short dive from the house or within reasonable walking distance, we went to both on an overcast day and they were well worth the visit. The Gouffre de Proumeyssa "crystal cathedral" is a short drive. (we walked but it is a fair walk) and should not be missed, go down into the cave in the basket if you can as it adds to the experience.
Market day in Le Bugue is excellent. I have been to numerous French markets and this is definitely up there with the better ones.
The Saturday evening food market in Audrix is worth a visit, take your own plates and a bottle of wine and sample all the local food and hot bread direct from the village bread oven.
By far our best day out was a canoe trip down the Dordogne with a pick nick stop off half way (recommend the Dordogne rather than Vasere). you may also want to try a tree top adventure park, we had another excellent day at one of them.
