The Manorhouse at Kerargon by the sea combines historic ambiance with modern comfort in a stately home renovated to suit groups of up to 15 persons. The property lies secluded on its own property surrounded by fields and is therefore particularly quiet and safe for children but still within close proximity (6km) of endless beaches and 2 towns (each 4km) with shops catering to all your daily needs. It is also the ideal launching pad for all of Brittany's many sights, from Pointe du Raz (40min) to Quimper (20min) to surfer's paradise LaTorche (20min). Discover the diversity of sights and sounds that are Brittany, if you wish by tapping into the enthusiasm of on-site owner (speaks french, english and german).
The house offers a hugely spacious lounge (60m²) stretching between 2 imposing granite fireplaces. The large kitchen with adjoining dining table is carefully equipped to cook for and serve 18 guests. The 6 bedrooms and 1 bunkroom (suitable for children) are individually styled and comfortable. 3 complete bathrooms plus 2 separate WCs are newly tiled and appointed. A private terrace and garden with barbecue adjoin the dining area. In addition, the spacious courtyard offers pingpong table, boules game, darts and room for all manner of games.
Once arrived, you can do most everything by bicycle (local bike hire available) and the on-site shed can be used to store bicycles. The property is spacious enough to allow for games with children as well as quiet areas for other party members.
Kerargon is easy to reach by ferry (2hrs north), highway (25min), train (25min) or airplane (30min) and is still uniquely positioned so that all you hear are the birds, the cows in surrounding meadows, or the wind rustling through the trees.

About this location
The Brittany region
Brittany is one of the oldest regions of France and combines the wonders of the sea (Pointe du Raz, La Torche) with quaint towns (Locronan - the granite city, Quimper the half-timbered town, Concarneau- the walled city, Point l'Abbe), ancient megaliths (Menez Dregan, our local menhir not 5 minutes' walk) and vibrant music and costume traditions (Festival de Cornouaille, Fetes des Brodeuses, Fest Noz, celtic music fests, international folk music). It has inspired artists since the 1800s (Gaughin's artist colony in Pont Aven for example) and local artists still show their wares in local markets and studios. Brittany is famous for its freshest of seafoods, its artichokes, strawberries and dairy products, all available at local markets or the market hall in Quimper. The beaches of Finistere are endless and offer international surfing challenges (La Torche surfing paradise). Choose your hobby, be it sports or shopping, or choose to chill in our hammocks overlooking the lush meadows that surround the farmstead.
Landudec offers a nature trail, a wonderful cash-and-carry market, a local galette maker, restaurants and a gorgeous castle specializing in staging marriages.
Not far is a stunning archeological site which has unearthed the oldest hearth remains in continental Europe. Menhirs and dolmens abound. In summer, every local town stages its live music fest, Fest Noz, to dance along with. Quimper offers endless shopping (including Armor Lux outlet) and local markets offer everything from local produce to art.
