Les Chalets de Montalbert are three small chalets side by side located directly on the nursery piste and in a quiet position just by the forest. The chalets are ski in/out and outside is the free button lift thats open to late afternoon. In addition on this piste they hold night skiing a couple of evening a week and also various other events. The chalets are only about 5 minutes from the village centre and all have stunning views.
Ski-out/ski-in located directly on the piste with spectacular views over the Piste. A large apartment with 4 bedrooms and traditionally furnished which is on the second floor and sleeps a maximum of 10 but is ideal for 8 (70m2).

Unlike the ugly apartment blocks that dominate many of the ski resorts in the French Alps, Plagne Montalbert is delightfully unspoilt; a daily treat from glistening dawn to glowing sunset over the pine forests. It remains a traditional, friendly, village surrounded by stunning scenery: the Tarentaise valley to one side, Mont Blanc and surrounding mountains to the other.
Christmas and New Year in Montalbert is a wonderful time with torch light skiing, firework displays and parties. On Christmas Eve they have a great street festival with Father Christmas being drawn on a sleigh surrounded by all the ski instructors with flaming torches and the old church in the centre of the village has a real nativity scene which last year even featured a real baby, donkey and other animals!
The La Plagne / Montalbert area
Plagne Montalbert has all the amenities you could want in a ski resort with plenty of restaurants, great bars and a number of ski shops. There is a well stocked supermarket, a patisserie and two wonderful delicatessens where you can buy ready to cook local meals, cheese, cold meats etc.
Our range of Montalbert chalets put you within easy reach of the amenities the ski resort has to offer and with ten restaurants in the village you'll never be short of things to do. The restaurants include:
Le Trappeurs: Trappeurs is a great bar and restaurant that serves specialities from the local area such as Tartiflette together with steaks and other dishes.
La Luge which serves great pizzas.
Le Forperet which is a mountain restaurant open in the evening and offers a free mini bus service. If you wish to book this restaurant please contact them by email by clicking the link.
La Tourmante is a very lively pub /restaurant which often has live music, shows football on its large screen TV downstairs when the big matches are on and serves a variety of great value food in the upstairs restaurant.
Le Fifties Legend serves great steaks, burgers and pizzas.
Skanapia which is a busy restaurant right at the base of the slopes and serves local food and offers a great Plat Du Jour.
The local tourist office organises plenty of free village activities such as mulled wine evenings and there is a nightclub that is open until very late.
For those requiring Internet WIFI is available free in a number of bars and also the tourist office.

There are four airports within easy reach of Plagne Montalbert - Geneva and Lyon (approximately 2.5 hours), Grenoble (approximately two hours) and Chambery (approximately one hour). All can be reached by scheduled and low-cost airlines
La Plagne Montalbert is approximately 600 miles from Calais, which is about a nine hour drive (at peak times this may be longer). It's an easy drive, being largely motorways, but you might well want to take your time and enjoy the French countryside too
There are two options for train travel - Eurostar and the normal fast French TGV services that come directly from Paris and these stop in Aime. It takes about 8 hours from St Pancras station. Then get a taxi to Plagne Montalbert which is about €40.
