About the home

La Vall Gran is located on a quiet and secluded urbanization 5 minutes drive from the main golden sands of L'Estartit and a short distance from the historic village of Torroella De Montgri. With local amenities only a 5 minute walk away the villa is ideal for that relaxing holiday. Located in the heart of Catalunya you can sample the local markets and old Catalan villages with their splendid restaurants.

The villa has a large garden/lawn area, 3 double bedrooms which back onto a pool terrace and private pool and a secluded roof terrace for serious sun worshippers.

The villa is set within a backdrop of a mountain with historic castle ruins on the top. This provides fantastic views from the roof terrace which uniquely in this property covers the whole roof area accessed by steps on the side of the villa making it ideal for relaxing in privacy and soaking up the sun by day or enjoying a meal lit up by night.

Totally refitted with all the latest mod cons combined with true Catalan style make this a special holiday experience to remember. Ideal for families.

This villa has been totally redeveloped to a very high standard to provide that truly special holiday experience. The villa is spacious with 3 double bedrooms backing onto the pool terrace and private pool with all day sun. A large garden/lawn area makes this ideal for families.

A secluded private terrace makes it ideal for serious sun worshippers. The villa has a splendid top quality fully fitted modern kitchen, 2 new bath/shower rooms and air conditioning/warm air central heating. A long breakfast bar or for family meals an 8 seater dining table provide a great eating experience. For the evening you can relax in the lounge and watch a choice of satellite TV or listen to music on our new Ipod enabled Bose Music System plus there is a built-in outside barbecue, outdoor lighting around the villa and roof terrace together with pool lighting for that highly entertaining evening.
New for 2011 :- Bose Music System, DVD Player, Hair Dryers in Bedrooms.

Air conditioning keeps you pleasantly cool on those hot sultry days and should you visit out of the very hot season there is a built in log fire for a nice cosy evening.

The villa has a private gated drive with garage.

There is a large supermarket a 5 minute walk away and the beach is only 5 minutes drive down the road. The resort is ideal for families having golden sands and a very gentle sloping beach for bathing.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Situated midway between the beautiful picturesque resort of L'Estartit and the historic town of Torroella De Montrgi you can enjoy the sun and sands as well as capturing a real feel for the true rural Catalan lifestyle. You can sample the the excellent cuisine at many of the restaurants set in the rural villages.

A typical example is Peratellada with its many restaurants surrounded by historic Spanish buildings which make a setting to die for. Dine outside or simply soak up the atmosphere in the streets accompanied by a taste of the local music.

If you visit between July and August you can experience the music festival which offers a great sample of traditional Spanish music and attracts acts from all over the world, you really feel like you are a million miles away from home.

The area is full of culture and Figueres (Spanish: Figueras)is only less than 30 mins drive away and is the capital of the Comarca (district) of Alt Empordà, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain.

The town is the birthplace of artist Salvador Dalí, and houses the Teatre-Museu Gala Salvador Dalí, a large museum designed by Dalí himself which attracts many visitors. It is also the birthplace of Narcís Monturiol i Estarriol, inventor of the first combustion powered submarine and anaerobic engine.

Sheltered by the Pyrennes mountains, the region boasts long Sunny days throughout the year and average temperatures in the high 20's right through to the end of October.

If you want an active holiday the resort offers excellent sports activities and is a premier diving centre having some of the best waters for diving in the whole of the Mediterranean.

The L'Estartit area

Local Market in L'Estartit every Thursday. Watersports in L'Estartit and a short drive at L'Escala. Fashion shopping and endless sightseeing at Barcelona about 1 1/4 hour drive - an ideal base for the vibrant city of Barcelona.

Water parks at Roses and Lloret De Mar both 1/2 hr away. Emporda Golf is only 10 mins drive away or Tennis courts only 5 mins.

“Ticks all the boxes!” Great location - quiet, close to shopping, near Estartit but not too near, and close to beautiful limestone hills. Well-appointed kitchen, comfortable lounge / dining room and superb pool.

"A truly fantastic villa fully equipped with everything that you need for the perfect holiday. The kitchen facilities were fantastic and the standard of cleanliness was amazing. A very very spacious Villa with air conditioning which was fantastic!!!
The swimming pool and the gardens were a fantastic addition to the villa and were up-kept to a very high standard. With a huge Supermarket at the end of the road this villa had everything we needed for the perfect holiday - the kids didnt want to leave!!!!"
