Estate under the Paintbrush is an incredible space, an island on an island, a unique blend of beauty, art and nature. It is located in a small village Rukavac, a peaceful and quaint village suited for relaxation and located in the south-east side of the island of Vis, only 8km away from the city of Vis and 20km away from the city of Komiza.
The Estate under the Paintbrush is 800 m away from the sea, surrounded by lush vegetation, a magic oasis filled with harmony, beauty and creativity.
With its cozy and artistically created space, you can find the house Camellia and the wonderful Mediterranean garden situated on 1500m².
The Estate, together with the island, serves as a wonderful relaxation spot where one can nourish the body and the spirit completely.
The Mediterranean garden offers a deep meditative fullfillment in the scents, colors and sounds of the garden, and the art that is deeply woven into the whole space. The garden offers an unconventional approach in using the terrain, artistically playful, rich in plants: lemons, oranges, tangerines, pomegranates, figs, almonds, olives, walnut, cherry, peach, laurel, aloe, strawberry trees, myrtle, lavender, rosemary, palms, roses flowers and organically grown vegetables and herbs.
The Open Atelier of artist Josip Karakash can be found in the Garden. It's an open space of 70m², where the artist's work is exhibited. The space, however, is open to all art lovers. You should just ask the artist himself, and he will guide you through the gates of his imagination and creativity.
This space is also used for gatherings, creative workshops, yoga classes, lazy evenings.
A multifunctional space - filled with light, creative and positive energy, overlooking the pine forest and the greenery - this truly is the Jewel of Estate under the Paintbrush.
