Modern luxury 2 bedroom apartment, located on the award winning Orka Village complex, situated in Hisaronu.
The apartment is in a beautiful location, with wonderful views of the countryside and surrounding mountains. The large communal pool is a few steps away from the apartment – you can take a cool dip, relax on the sunbathing decks or chill out by the poolside bar. The complex is 5 minutes walk to the main street in Hisaronu where you can find numerous bars, restaurants, supermarkets, souvenir shops and a lively weekly market where you can try your bartering skills.
The apartment is furnished to a high standard, comprising Master Bedroom with double bed and large wardrobe, second bedroom with twin beds and large wardrobe, bathroom with shower, washbasin & toilet, and open plan lounge and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including full crockery & cutlery, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, pots & pans, utensils etc. There is also a washing machine, iron & ironing board and clothes airer. The apartment has satellite TV, including news, movies, music, cartoons & sports channels in English and a DVD Player.
Air conditioning units are provided in the bedrooms and the lounge area. There are mini-balconies to the Master Bedroom and lounge, plus a main private balcony outside with dining table and seating for up to 6 people. The views from the balcony are stunning – overlooking the pool and mountains at the front and rustic countryside to the rear. Unlike other apartments on the complex the balcony is private in that it is not overlooked from the adjacent apartment.
The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, and is ideally located for access to all the main tourist areas.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Turkey’s south western Mediterranean Coast called the Turquoise Coast or Lycia Region. It is one of the most popular areas with overseas tourists and has become one of the leading destinations for many first time and repeat visitors to Turkey.
The coast is scattered with fine sandy beaches, idyllic coves and crystal clear turquoise seas, with stunning backdrops of the Taurus Mountains, pine clad forests, picturesque valleys and waterfalls.
The Turquoise coast offers a great climate – with nearly 300 days of sunshine a year, temperatures rarely below 20 degrees and very little rainfall. The sea temperature is warmer here than on the Aegean Coast.
This region is steeped in history, with scores of ancient Lycian, Greek and Roman ruins throughout the area, such as Xanthos, Tlos, Myra, Simena and Olympos. There are also stunning natural features such as Saklikent Gorge, Oludeniz Beach and its Blue Lagoon, Patara Beach and the Patara River.
A wide range of outdoor and adventure activities are on offer. The Lycian Way, a 509 kilometre way-marked footpath leads walkers around the coast and mountains, starting from Fethiye and finishing in Antalya. Turkey has become a popular destination for paragliding enthusiasts, with tandem flights available from the Babadag Mountain to the beachfront at Oludeniz.
Other activities horse riding, jeep-safaris, boat-trips, sailing, water ski-ing, wind surfing, kite surfing and white water rafting. A visit to Turkey would also not be complete without a visit to a Hamam or Turkish Baths.
During the winter months, a newly opened ski resort is about an hour's drive away. For golf lovers, there is a course at Dalaman, with further courses planned for the region.
Hisaronu area
Hisaronu is a lively resort nestled in the mountains and pine clad hills above Olu Deniz beach. The main street offers a wide range of restaurants, shops and bars and is a popular for a night out after a long hot day by the pool or on the beach.
Hisaronu centre is a 5 minute stroll from the apartment. From Hisaronu it is possible to catch a Dolmus (mini-bus) to other parts of the local area, including Olu Deniz, Fethiye and Kayakoy.
Olu Deniz is one of the most beautiful and most photographed beaches in Turkey. It is about 10 minutes by Dolmus from Hisaronu. The world famous Blue Lagoon is accessed by a narrow inlet and is therefore sheltered from the open sea, thus offering calm clear blue and turquoise waters for safe bathing. The main beach at Olu Deniz is bordered by a promenade lined with shops bars and restaurants. The area offers numerous activities including paragliding from Babadag Mountain, trekking along the Lycian Way and taking a boat trip to the nearby Butterfly Gorge.
Fethiye is approximately 15-20 minutes by Dolmus from Hisaronu. Once the Lycian settlement of Telmessos (Land of Lights), Fethiye is a lively port and town where Turkish life and tourism co-exist. Traces of the early settlements can still be seen today including rock tombs, the most famous one being the temple tomb of Amyntas. There are also remains of a castle and an ancient amphitheatre.
Fethiye has a picturesque waterfront from where you can take boat trips around the 12 islands or watch the traditional wooden gullets, motor launches and fishing boats. The old town area is worth a visit with its bazaars selling everything from aromatic herbs and spices to ‘designer’ clothes, turkish delight, carpets, leather goods and hand crafted jewellery. Further along the coast is the suburb of Calis Beach offering a beach front, watersports and numerous bars and restaurants.
Kayakoy, known locally as the Ghost Village, is a deserted Greek Settlement, steeped in history. It is possible to explore the ruins on foot, on horseback or even take a camel ride. There are a number of small restaurants serving local cuisine.
How to get there
Apartment is located approx 50km from Dalaman Airport. Transfer time = 1 hour approx.
Transfers can be arranged at cost of £65.00 return for up to 4 people, £75 return for 5-8 people, £85.00 for 9 to 12 people (2009 rates). Please note that transfer fees are payable locally in pounds sterling.
Flights are available to Dalaman from all major UK airports. With the increasing popularity of this region as a holiday destination, flights are also available from many regional airports.

All Bed Linen and Bath Towels are provided, although we kindly request that guests bring their own beach towels .
Apartment is cleaned and linen / towels changed every other day. If required, daily cleaning is available at additional cost, please enquire at time of booking.
Further details outdoors: Apartment is on a complex with impressive 650 sq m swimming pool, with sunbathing decks, a separate pool for the children and children's play area. The beautifully landscaped gardens with pagodas offer shaded relaxation. There are ample free sun beds.
On the complex there is a reception, Turkish Bath and sauna (payable locally), bar & snack bar, parking area and 24 hour security.
The apartment and complex is fully managed and there are English speaking staff on site to help should any problems occur.

Guests are also entitled to use the facilities at the 4* Club Orka Hotel, including health spa, turkish bath, gym, indoor & outdoor pools, water slide, internet cafe, bars and restaurants.
The hotel also has a full activities programme and children's mini club (some facilities payable locally).
A free shuttle bus service runs between Orka Village and the Club Orka Hotel for guests wishing to attend the nightly entertainment programme at the hotel.
*** New for 2009 / 2010 - Club Orka have also just added to their facilities the use of a private beach on the lagoon at Olu Deniz, with complimentary transfer service from Orka Village ***
Conditions
£50 per week non-refundable deposit is required to secure booking, with balance due 6 weeks before date of departure.
Full payment is required at time of booking for any new bookings within 6 weeks of departure.
Please also request any additional services including airport transfers, additional cleaning, cot, high chair, foladaway bed at time of booking.
Please note that an entry visa is required for Turkey - this can be purchased for the sum of £10 per person on arrival at Dalaman Airport.
Please note that the apartment is on the first floor, accessed by a short flight of steps.
Sorry smoking is not permitted inside the apartment, but smokers are welcome to smoke outside on the balcony.
Guests are respectfully requested to report any breakages or problems in the apartment to Orka Village Reception.
As Turkey is not yet part of the EU it is not possible for us to get public liability insurance, it is essential that you have travel insurance, as we must disclaim in the event of any accident claims.
Guests are reponsible for making their own flight arrangements. Should changes to flight schedules subsequently be imposed by the airline, we can not necessarily guarantee accommodation availability outside of the period originally booked. We will endeavour to accommodate date changes if at all possible, should these not clash with other guest bookings either side of the requested period.

Hi Nick Just to let you know we had a fabulous time at your apartment. Everything was wonderful and comfortable, the pool and the apartment were so clean and Charlie did a great job of looking after us. The best thing was how peaceful it was despite being August but with just the right amount of people by the pool and a few children for our girls to play with.
