The local bus, called dolmus, run every few minutes and is a very cheap way to travel which is about 80 pence to the nearby Harbour of Fethiye or The famous Olu Deniz Beach which is approx 4 KM away from Hisaronu Village.These places are fantastic to watch the sunset in the evening with a glass of wine and a traditional Turkish meal.

**************DOs and Don'ts for the Newbees Going To Turkey******************* ***Dos*** *Whilst entering Turkey you will require to pay a £10 note(sterling) for every child and adult this is for entry tax (visa) and this tax will last for 3 months so if you decide to visit turkey 3 weeks later for eample you do no have to pay it again. But if you decide to visit Turkey say 1 week before your tax is due to run out and you stay say 2 weeks you will have to pay £10 again, as it falls outside the 3 months. *Try and learn a little Turkish language the Turkish People will love you for it, even if you are not very good they like to see that you try and will respect you for this. *If you enjoy a meal maybe give them a little tip, any tip is fine. *Take sun cream and mossy repellent for when you are out on the Night time but be warned if the mozzies like you, you will get bit, especially if you wear body spray and perfume. Although the mozzies are not as bad as they used to be as the council spray the Hisaronu area most evenings. *Learn the currency for example approximations 250 cents = £1 5 Lira=£2 10 Lira=£4 20 Lira=£8 50 Lira=£20 100Lira=£40 and so on
***Don't*** *Don't give a Scottish/ Irish note as the Turkish Authorities do not except these notes in the Airport and do not give a £20 sterling note whilst paying you Tax(Visa) in the airport as you will receive no change. Make sure you all have £10 notes handy whilst entering the Turkish Airport. *Do not attempt to take the wild tortoises out of Turkey as you could face prison. *Never Buy Perfume or Tobacco from local markets or off the streets are these are fakes, buy tobacco and perfume from duty free shops in the airport of you can buy Tobacco from the Local Azda or Migros supermarket in Hisaronu. *Never drink tap water although it is very clean it is full of minerals that we are not used too. You can brush your teeth with it and boil vegetables. *Try not to flush toilet paper down the toilet as their drainage systems are not as good as ours. *Try and have a shower or wash before it gets dark as the hot water gets colder on an evening due to the solar panels full of water on the roof that are heated by the sun. *Don't be alarmed if the electricity goes off as this is due to power cuts that occasionally happens in Turkey and can last upto a couple of hours. *On return to Dalaman Airport I would advise you to buy your own food and beverages as they are very expensive in the Airport for example a can of beer is £5.00s and a McDonalds Happy Meal is £9.00s so be warned.
