The Tower House (120 sqm) is the most ancient portion of Historic Hamlet Le Logge di Silvignano, and one of the most significant examples of Medieval architecture in the Spoleto County. Le Logge di Silvignano built from the X to the XV Century, is listed by the Italian Ministry for the Arts and Environment.
The Tower House has independent entrance from the little square of the village and a private roof terrace overlooking the Umbrian Valley and the sunset.
The watchtower housed guards dating back to the early Middle Ages in the XIth Century (the year 1000). The home is divided into two adjoining but independent apartments that connect by an internal staircase. Each apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Together the space totals 110 sqm (1,180 square feet). In this way, the home can support 4 or 5 people while also feeling comfortable and ideal for just 2. Not recommended for small children under 10 or anyone with difficulty climbing medieval stairs.
The upper apartment of the Tower opens onto a private roof terrace. From here the view sweeps over Valle Umbra, the pool and garden, and the upper part of the village of Silvignano with magnificent sunsets.
Entering the Tower is like stepping back in history when average heights of village occupants 1,000 years ago were less than today, leading you to find shorter doorways. A Roman holding cell in the lowest part of the Tower has also been preserved.
Entrance to the pool and garden are provided through Le Logge’s main gate which sits only about 30 meters from the Tower’s entrance.
Welcome basket, free wi-fi- high speed – Pool towels are provided.
Some of the furniture is antique, some are made by local artisans. Bed linen and linen curtains are woven on the antique Montefalco looms, art ceramics are from Deruta and Torgiano, and furnitures are “blended” together.
The owners tried to match all of this with the standards of comfort, elegance and privacy .
A closed locked area is available for your bikes.
The Pool is located in the most panoramic but reserved part of the garden, sunny from sunrise to sunset, equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, and areas in the shade. The access to the Pool is only for registered Guests.
To reach the Pool the Guest of the Tower have a 30 meter walk to enter in the main gate of the garden.
The Historic Hamlet of Le Logge is made of just a few large suite apartments, the Tower House and the Villa Ulysse's House.
