Situated in the historic centre of Gaillac, an ancient market town, hub of the wine trade in south west France. The property is set on a hillside with wonderful views across the wooded banks of the river Tarn, in a very quiet small street almost no traffic. A three minutes walk will bring you to local restaurants and the market place and the main line train service is a ten minutes walk.
Gaillac has a local bar, boulangerie, supermarket, a pharmacy, a tourism office and a market. Within 10 minutes of the property, you will find several tennis courts and a spacious outdoor swimming pool. Gaillac also offers a brand new indoor pool.
The Gaillac area
There are local classical and Jazz concerts to enjoy in addition to walks and cycle rides along the river. Canoing and other riverside activities can also be found within the area.

We had a wonderful stay in your lovely, well equipped and beautifully furnished apartment in Gaillac. The three levels of the house offer excellent accommodation with two lovely bedrooms, your own bathrooms, modern well equipped kitchen, meals and lounge area. The views from various windows on to the Tarn were stunning and the balcony dinners into the late evening so memorable. The apartment is so well located to shops, the market, lovely walks in and around the town and restaurants. It is however in such a quiet part of the town next to the beautiful Tarn which is simply like being in the country on your own. It is also close to many stunning towns, villages and vineyards in the Tarn including Albi; Toulouse is within easy reach by car. The English owners Frankie and Nick who have been living in the village and area of the Tarn for many years, are very friendly and could not be more helpful. We certainly hope to return again one day!”
