Set in 9 acres of tranquil garden and fields, the gite at Les Chambons (Le Petit Chambon) is a beautiful, ground floor, large (100 sq metre), stone gite in a courtyard setting with 8 x 4 metre swimming pool (sole use).

When renovated the gite was designed with disabled guests in mind and all rooms are wheelchair friendly including the bathroom facilities - please contact us for more details.

The gite has been fully renovated and is tiled throughout with great views onto the courtyard. The lounge is spacious with a large wood burner and fully equipped "cuisine americane". If you fancy trying a few new recipes whilst you are here we are happy to provide additional equipment, herbs and spices, or if you just want to relax and eat out you can visit one of local restaurants which are a short drive away .

The bedroom is light and airy with a double bed, plenty of cupboard space and view onto the courtyard and gardens.

The gite has a spacious "wet room" style shower and wc, plus a separate wc and basin. There is also a laundry room with washing machine.

Bedlinen and towels are all provided and changed weekly including pool towels (we don't want you to have to add extra luggage just to pack towels!). Relax around the pool, read a book sitting at the pretty blue table and chairs in the courtyard or take a deckchair and find a shady spot in the garden.

"The perfect summer escape"

We were looking for a week of sun, fun things to do, and relative peace and quiet and we got all in abundance here. Le Petit Chambon is perfectly situated with gorgeous views of the valley (perfect for sunsets) and easy (car) access to a number of nearby towns and cities that offer day trips: canoeing, plenty of beautiful chateaux, wine tasting, walks and ornate gardens were all favourites. The owners Paul and Gina treated us like old friends but gave us plenty of space to enjoy the swimming pool and gardens. The cottage itself was immaculate and full of books, games and DVDs to keep us entertained. There was even a loaf of freshly baked bread on our arrival (as well as a surprisingly stocked fridge, Paul and Gina thought of everything). We could not recommend this more, and honestly struggle to give any constructive criticism. It was spot on!
