The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise Coast is truly beautiful. With it's warm sunshine, breathtaking shoreline and picturesque sunsets. It's steeped in history ( which is worth reading up on beforehand) . It boasts delicious food and markets, and so much activities, it's impossible to get bored. Kayakoy is an ancient Greek village set in the mountains and well worth spending the day there. Base yourself at Muzzys Place, they have a huge pool and great food. The locals will tell how they helped the Greeks escape to Rhodes and then turned their back on the village where once their friends lived. It is now just ruins, but great to explore.

Also Saklikent Gorge second-largest in Europe (40mins drive or dolmus bus) is spectacular. The entrance to the gorge is under the bridge over the large stream. A narrow walkway suspended from the rock wall takes you into the gorge. you can wade across the stream into the gorge.

Near the gorge, restaurants with seating areas on wooden platforms are suspended just above the rushing waters. A great place to relax on rugs and cushions with a beer under shady trees and waterfall. Heaven. Promise!

Fethiye is a beautiful marine harbour fishing town steeped in history, and surrounded by mountains. Visit the Lycian Tombs on the hills with breathtaking costal views. Spring and well into autumn is still quiet warm. So perfect for trecking or sunset strolling. At Calis the promanade has a variety of restaurants and shops. Bella Mamma's is very good. A local supermarket is a few minutes walk away as is the Sunday market. Great bargins and fresh fruit and veg. Lots of day trips and activities can easily be arranged on the prommanade. Also take the taxi boat service accross to Fethiye Harbour or the local dolmus bus through the back streets, to enjoy great unique retail therapy, and the fish market where you chose your fish and take it to one of the restaurants to cook and serve it for you, delicious. Very lively night life, belly dancing and Turkish entertainment. Turkish hamam bath treatments for relaxation before traveling back is to be recommended. Everything you could want on holiday!

"Villa Eireann - Summer 2013"

Fantastic Villa in a great location, near the shops and bars etc. Only a short walk to the main promenade at Calis beach and water taxi to Fethiye. There was also a Dolmus nearby to town. Plenty to do but as the villa was so nice we spent a lot of time by the pool. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great holiday

"Our own piece of Heaven"

Just an amazing place, the photos really don't do it justice, my partner and our 4 children had a wonderful time here with a stunning open plan and mezzanine style interior we were able to keep an eye on everything that was going on whilst relaxing and taking in the Turkish sun.

Really cannot recommend this villa enough and Anne was so helpful in the run up to the holiday and also whilst we were there via email.

We would certainly return and guarantee you won't regret staying in Villa Erieann.

"Wonderful villa"

This is a villa finished to a high specification.
I travelled with my wife and baby. It was perfect for us with fully functioning kitchen. Also a relaxing tv room where we could chill out at night. Anne also provided a baby cot.
The beach is only a short walk down the road with friendly bars and restaurants. However with such a good villa and private pool we spent a lot of our time there.
Anne the owner couldnt do enough for us and was always available to answer questions.
