From the owner

'Apartamento Serena' is a lovely spacious 2nd floor apartment that sleeps 4 people (children over 5 years of age only). It is situated on a private gated residential complex which has a lovely garden with a well maintained tennis court and a children's play area. There is a private car parking space situated in the courtyard. As the apartment is on the 2nd floor and accessed by stairs, it may not be suitable for those with difficulty climbing steps as there is not a lift.

Our apartment contains a fully fitted modern kitchen that has everything you need for your self catering holiday; dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and hob. The air-conditioned living/dining room is spacious and comfortable with a dining table and chairs for eating indoors. Patio doors open onto a large balcony with a distant sea view, where you can sit, relax and enjoy a glass or two of wine on warm sultry evenings. The family bathroom has shower, toilet, bidet and sink. The washing machine, for holiday laundry, is situated here too. We have provided a hairdryer for your convenience.

The apartment has a large air-conditioned master bedroom with a king size bed, with ample wardrobe space for all guests. The smaller bedroom has bunk beds. The sofa in the living room converts into a very comfortable double bed. Italian Satellite TV is available, and there is WiFi for those who can't do without the internet and social media.

The cost of the apartment includes: welcome pack, electricity and Air Con, cooking gas, bed linen and towels (changed after 8 days for bookings of 10 days or over, Pool towels not included) and the after-stay cleaning.

Late check-in/check-out is available only if there are no other guests departing or arriving on the same day. There is an extra charge this and is paid for locally. We cannot accept requests more than 2 days in advance and we reserve the right to refuse a request.

• Guest are required NOT to flush anything down any of the toilets except toilet paper – that means NO nappies, nappy liners, cleansing wipes, make-up wipes, cotton wool pads, sanitary products, panty-liners or kitchen paper etc.

• Use of the Air Conditioning Units is included in the rental cost of the villa, however guests are required to turn the units OFF whilst not in residence.

• Pets are NOT allowed.

• Please recycle your rubbish. Rubbish bags are to be cleared from the property daily. There are large communal bins on the roads of Alghero for you to use.

• Guests are required to clean cooking utensils and appliances as they are used i.e. oven, grill plus any spills that occur.

• Arrival and departure times are fixed unless prior arrangements have been made with the OWNER.

For holiday makers without a car, there's no problem. Everything you need is within a 5 minute walk...the beaches, the shops and some really good family- friendly restaurants. There is a good bus service that can take you into the old town or if you prefer, you can take a leisurely 20- 25 minute stroll along the promenade to Alghero town via the marina and old port (The advantage of the apartment being out of the town is that the area is very quiet at night enabling you to get a good night's sleep)

Head to Alghero Veccio (old Alghero) for some evening 'People Watching' and retail therapy or have a drink in the many waterside bars and cafes. Lido and La Pinetta beaches are literally a 5 minute walk away from the apartment. These beaches provide sunbeds, cafe/bar, beach showers. There is a busy weekly market just outside the apartment every Wednesday morning. Alghero is a bicycle friendly town with dedicated cycle lanes and routes. Cycle hire is available at several outlets. If you can't do without your fix of Golf, then there is a 9 hole Pitch and Put course approximately 5 kms away near Fertilia. For those Adrenalin junkies among you, Lido beach is a great place for kite surfing in the Autumn when the prevailing Mistrale winds are blowing..

Why can't I call Jacquie & M (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Jacquie & M (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jacquie & M (the owner) a message.

If Jacquie & M (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
