Riverside holiday studio/apartment in the beautiful department of Aveyron. Situated on the edge of the medieval village of Entraygues Sur Truyere.

The Gite has a through diner, living room/kitchen area with beamed ceiling. There is a sofa, TV (English and French), DVD player, table and chairs and book case of books (English and French) and DVDs (English and French). Patio doors open onto the sun terrace over looking the river.

The well equipped kitchen has a microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, cooker, grill and hob and many cupboards.

The bedroom has a double bed, built in double wardrobe, ironing board, iron, safe, bedside lamps and tables. It also has a beamed ceiling and window over looking the terrace. Bed linen is included.

Out of the bedroom is a separate WC and a bathroom, consisting of a shower and wash basin. Bath sheets, hand towels and beach towels are provided.

The terrace has two sun loungers, BBQ, and a patio set with sun brolly.

Up the steps from the terrace is a private pool, where there are more sun loungers and seating. The pool is spring water fed.

There is a large private garden next to the river Truyere with views of the medieval Gothic bridge, two sun loungers, table and chairs are beneath the Walnut tree. Great for reading and relaxing with a glass of wine or for fishing. The garden also has fruit trees and a pigeonier. Feel free to sample the figs and walnuts depending on season.

Opposite the gite is off road private parking and there is a garage available for use by our guests.

The apartment is road side so there is some road noise, but this is reduced by it being above road level and having double glazing.

Entraygues is just a short walk over the medieval bridge and has many shops, restaurants, bars, bakers, butchers, cinema, a bank and a winery.

The village and surrounding area are great for walking. The roads are excellent for biking (Motor or Pedal).

There is a wide variety of wild life, our guests have seen king fishers, herons, buzzards, deer, coypu and lots of fish while sitting by the river.

There are lots of activities including canoeing, fishing, horse riding and cycling to be done in and around the village.

Vue Du Pont is ideal for two but there are zed beds available for two more.

Thank you for your review. Carolyn always tries to be helpful. We continually review our pricing for our self catering gite with it's own terrace, private swimming pool, off road parking, private garden and the free use of a garage. Perhaps if we did not include the washing machine, iron, hair dryer, WiFi, DVD player, English and French DVDs, English and French books, English TV, toiletries, safe, six sun loungers and cushions inclusive in the price we could charge less initially, but as some of our guests fly these extras are welcome. We decided not to over develop or commercialise the riverside garden as a lot of our guests like to relax under the walnut tree, either on the chairs or sun loungers, and let the world go by. Some sit on the river bank and fish. There are apple and cherry trees for shade and in the pigeonier is a croquet set for those feeling a little more energetic. The private terrace has furniture for dining, furniture for lounging as well as two sun loungers, a parasol, planters and two BBQ's. Any more would make it too crowded. The road into our medieval village is the D920, it is a mixture of single track and passing places. The 14th century bridge is one way for preservation purposes. Entraygues is a working village, primarily agriculture and secondary tourism. It has bars, restaurants, shops, bakers, butchers, a bank, a cinema and a vets, but still retains it's medieval character. We are on the edge of the village, in other gites a car would be needed to go into Entraygues, where as we just walk over the gothic bridge and back again. we thank you for your positive comments left in our visitors book. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carolyn (the owner) a message.

If Carolyn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
