There is no passing traffic or commerce here so our position is wonderfully peaceful, with views stretching across fields towards Domme, ideal for children.

Our local village of Cenac is a short drive away or a 20 minute walk, and has excellent shops and amenities, including a weekly market. The Dordogne river is just a 5 minute walk from the village where you can rent canoes, swim in the river or just relax with a picnic. The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

The region contains many chateaux, beautiful villages and stunning scenery. There are also spectacular caves to visit and plenty of places to picnic by rivers and lakes. The climate gives us hot Summers, warm Spring and Autumn and cold winters.

Domme and the Surrounding Area

Perched on the heights of a cliff, Domme is a classic bastide town with fortified gateways and walls. Classified as one of Most Beautiful Villages of France, within the town there is an underground network of caves, shops and fine restaurants, and exceptional panoramic views over the Dordogne.

Regarded as the capital of the Perigord Noir and just a few kilometres north of the Dordogne river, this is a fabulous example of a well preserved medieval town, with its warren of narrow streets, hidden courtyards, many shops and restaurants, and a variety of street entertainers. It's not hard to see why Sarlat has featured in many American and French movies.

Sandwiched between the Dordogne river and the steep-sided cliffs this is also listed amongst the "Plus Beaux Villages de France" and is overlooked by the Chateau de Beynac towering above the town. The town and Chateau together offer one of the finest views in France.

La Roque Gageac

A regular winner of France's prettiest village contest, La Roque Gageac shelters under dramatically overhanging cliffs. It has a troglodyte fort and a jumble of characteristic properties built into the sandstone cliffs.
