The nearby town of Carrickfergus is a must-see destination for history lovers with its well-preserved Norman castle, extensive town walls and gas works museum.

Belfast has become a popular tourist city - the Titanic exhibition, interactive discovery centre W5, Ulster museum & botanic gardens, zoo, castle and Stormont parliament buildings are all worth a visit. Open-top sight-seeing tours and amphibious 'Splashtours' are available. Northern Ireland's capital city also offers a wealth of shopping, dining and entertainment.

For lovers of the countryside, Acres End is an ideal starting point for exploring the Causeway Coast, a scenic driving route meandering along a spectacular coastline and culminating at the Giant's Causeway, a world-famous UNESCO heritage site.
