About this location
The Brittany region
It is difficult to resist Brittany’s charm and to escape being captivated by this land created by the vagaries of wind, water and time. The Romans’ “finis terrae” possesses all the attributes needed to charm visitors.
Along a coastline where steep cliffs give way to fine sandy beaches, historic fishing villages nestle side by side with renowned seaside resorts. Inland, the heath merges into rolling hills and lakes and marshes conceal oases of green.
Brittany is a region proud of its roots and has successfully retained its customs and traditions. History and legend have given rise to an outstanding artistic heritage.
It is however the sense of magic pervading Brittany which makes it a place apart and somewhere unique. Impossible to describe, its special atmosphere is instantly recognisable and quite unforgettable.
There are many activities nearby, such as horse riding, swimming and cycling. The medieval towns of Vannes and Aurey within 25 minutes drive.
The local markets are worth a visit, bristling with fantastic local produce and character. The area itself is very pretty filled with flowers and wildlife. There are a choice of beaches, great for relaxing with a book or swimming.

"Lovely, peaceful, relaxing break - a real gem!"
The Wren's Nest was part of a beautiful, restored farmhouse. It was cosy, comfortable and characterful with everything you needed for a getaway for 2. We found it in very good condition and the owners were extremely helpful and very welcoming.
Set in the countryside, it was only a short car drive to shops and amenities. We loved the pool, which was immaculately kept, and enjoyed sitting in the garden, reading, barbecuing in the evening. Exciting, too, watching the glorious thunder storm from the cosiness of the Wren's Nest!
We had a lovely time. Thank you!

"A haven of peace"
This little gite is a haven of peace. Tucked at the back of two larger gites Wren's Nest faces onto a big garden with views out on to open countryside. There is also a very nice pool area. The pool is heated to a pleasant temperature. As the name implies - Wren's Nest is small and quite simply appointed but nicely done. The only disadvantage if you hit really bad weather is that it doesn't have a sitting area - Just a bedroom area and a kitchen. We had mixed weather but still had a great time. The owners live in an adjacent house and are very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We recommend Le Cheval Blanc in nearby Baud for a meal.

"a great base to explore southern Brittany"
This was a last minute decision to go to Brittany and we found this little gem on the net. Ideal for a couple and a great base to explore the countryside and coastline. There are two other larger properties attached that accomodate larger parties/families but this was no problem.
Tony and Barbara were very helpful but did not intrude. The property is about 5 min drive from nearest village/shop and about 15mins from the town of Baud. Not too much choice for restaurants nearby - guess people eat in or barbeque - we tended to eat at lunchtime because of this.
Overall, we had a great trip and would recommend.

We stayed at the Wrens Nest - 2 adults and baby . It was a lovely cosy property , full of character with everything that we could have needed during our stay. The owners had thoughtfully left a high chair for our baby to use as well as a baby bath, and travel cot. Tony and Barbara were on hand to assist with any enquires we had about the local area.
Camors is close to many towns and villages of interest and we were only had a short drive to reach Vannes .
Our hosts were lovely and the property was everything we had hoped for and more and we hope to return in the near future. Thank -you Tony and Barbara for a lovely stay .
Highly recommended - book now!
