The Sardinia region
The second-largest island in Mediterranean after Sicily, Sardinia serves up a lovely blend of sea, sand and history. Thousands of nuraghe (stone buildings) dot the landscape, proof that people have been enjoying the lovely climate here for millennia.
From posh Costa Smerelda in the north to medieval Alghero in the northwest to the lively capital of Cagliari in the south, and with many picturesque towns and unspoiled sandy beaches in between, Sardinia’s got a little something for everyone.
Tresnuraghes is a very quiet traditional town which has many local specialty shops to discover, it has three local bars all very welcoming and most evenings the town folk will gather to catch up on the local gossip.
For those who have not yet been to Bosa in Sardinia, you will have a welcome suprise in store. Just 45 mins South of Alghero this is a more traditional and less commercialised town also benefiting from being less expensive, than Alghero.
Bosa is situated in the Planargia flatlands on the Northwest coast; to get there you can drive along the panoramic road from Alghero, where you will find many little coves to stop and enjoy the scenery.
Bosa Marina beach is a long and deep stretch of sand and is very well served with all tourist facilities, pedalo and rubber dinghy hire, jet-ski and even a windsurfing club. There are also many bars on and off the beach, hotels and lovely restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine based on fish and seafood accompanied by a glass of the Malvasia, Bosa’s lovely wine

"A clean and fully equipped house."
We rented Bel Giardino (1 week) in July/August. The house was clean and fully equipped. It comes with a small but very nice garden were we had our breakfasts and BBQs. The kids loved the Xbox and the DVD movies (perfect after a day at the beach). The bedrooms were nice with drawers, wardrobes and comfortable beds. We had our doubts about the location but I must say it was just perfect - no traffic, 10min to the beach, walking distance to the bar/cafe/butcher/restaurant/bank/shops/supermarkets. If you like to BBQ, then you have to visit the local butcher (you will find the direction in the "Guest Information" pamphlet).
You have two nearby beaches, Port Alabe and Bosa Marina. We preferred the first one with clear water and nice spots to go snorkelling. Bosa Marina is more "touristic" with restaurants and bars at the beach.
The owner (John L) was very helpful and we had no problem with the payment/rent.
