Only minutes from the Giant's Causeway, Famous Coastal Route, Bushmills Distillery, Glens of Antrim with easy access to Belfast and Donegal.

This is a special place for a special holiday with unspoilt landscape and coastline. The Giant's Causeway is world famous for it's rock formation, outstanding scenic beauty and mystery. Bushmills Distillery opened in 1608 is closeby. The essential Irish journey takes you along the coast from Belfast to the shores of Donegal. This route is just a few miles away. and takes you along coastline, glens, meadows, passed castles and ancient burial sites.
The Ballymoney area
Ballymoney town is just 3 miles away. It is a small market town where most of the economy is based on farming. There are some old family shops and bakeries with many opportunities to buy gifts.
It has lots of leisure facilities with a leisure centre swimming pool, football playing fields where a variety of sports are catered for.The famous motor cycle racing champion Joey Dunlop lived in Ballymoney and a memorial garden is there in remembrance of him. Each May there is a display of his motor cycles and many achievements featured in the Town Hall.

From Belfast take M2 North toward Ballymena/Coleraine. Take A26 toward Cleraine and a the ballymoney by-pass take right at the Knock Junction B66 towards Ballycastle Mosside and Dervock. After approximately 2.5 miles and once over the river Bush, Lisconnan Road is first left . Garden Cottage is first left.

John and Helen were friendly, helpful and welcoming. They had everything we needed to have tea and scones. The cottage had everything we wanted and felt private and cosy. the location provided easy access to all of the local attractions, of which there are many. A lovely place that We would love to retun to. |
