We've called it VILLA PANORAMICA for a reason!!
Located on the top floor of a small, new house, built in the grounds of an 18th century villa, it is completely self contained and only minutes walk to the village.

Everything here is new, but fits in perfectly with the style of the houses built along the lake and in the mountains over the last centuries,with wood beam ceilings, teak floors in the bedrooms and Italian tiled kitchen, living area and bathrooms. (High chair and crib for small children are available, on request.)

Ideal for all types of holiday, winter and summer and for short weekend breaks and business Of course, there are many vacation rental apartments all around Lake Como, this is NOT a vacation rental, it is our apartment, created and furnished to be used year round and we take advantage of it ourselves, when we can. Although we live only 10 minutes drive away in the hills, we find it so relaxing here, just sitting on the terrace watching local life carry on in the village and on the lake.
Argegno is in an excellent strategic position. It is easy to reach all the other towns on the lake by ferry, bus and car, you couldn't ask for a more convenient point.
WIFI available and computor already set up in the apartment, A/C all included in the price.

Villa Panoramic, is a two bedroom, air conditioned apartment,with two double bedrooms, (1 king size bed and 2 singles or a double), plenty of closet space and in the living area there is a comfortable double sofa-bed. It and can comfortably sleep six people, it has two bathrooms, (one en suite) an open plan kitchen/dining and living area and a wonderful terrace where you can enjoy "al fresco" dining and sunbathing in complete privacy, while admiring the natural beauty of this paradise on earth. The terrace is equipped with dining table and six chairs, sun loungers and 'swing chair'.
There is satelite TV, DVD, surround music system and a variety of CDs and DVDs for you to enjoy.
There is internet access and if you wish, we can provide you with a lap top computer.

Our well equipped apartment is well planned out with the living area at the front so you can enjoy the 180degree views from the kitchen, dining and living area. Air-conditioning keeps you cool in the summer and underfloor heating keeps you warm in the winter.
The bedrooms have wrought iron bed.heads, there are mirrored wardrobes in both bedrooms with lots of space. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower unit.
The other bathroom, has a jacuzzi tub.

We have a 125 sq meter private terrace, furnished with dining table and 6 chairs, sun loungers and a small BBQ. There are sun blinds to protect you from direct sun light.
The laundry area is also outside, tucked away, but very convenient and it's wonderful doing your ironing there, enjoying the views at the same time.
The parking area is just above the apartment and is fine for a small car, we also have our own off street parking space 30 meters from the apartment.

We have prepared a very helpful information book which you will find in the apartment together with timetables for the ferries and buses and lots of leaflets with important things to know.
We personally meet you on arrival to show you around, explain how things work and make sure you are happy with everything.

Conditions

If you decide to book, you will receive a rental agreement with the payment details, we ask for 50% on booking and the remainder on arrival. We provide driving instructions and general information on how to reach the apartment.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

Lake Como, surrounded by mountains, hills valleys and cities of art, has much to offer. It is situated in one of the most economically and industrially important regions (Lombardy) in Northern Italy, nestled between Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda, right on the Swiss boarder, framed by the majesty of the alps, where different cultures have merged over the centuries to form it’s unique and inimitable charm. We enjoy a varied climate, generally snowy winters, mild springs and warm summers, but being near the water, never too hot and then we have our mountains to escape to just in case.

The Argegno area

"Villa Panoramica" is only a 15 minute drive away from Cernobbio, the world famous hotel Villa D'este and the famous Villa Erba, where many exhibitions and trade fairs are held, the City of Como is a 20 minute drive away and of course Como is the silk capital of Italy, so there are many silk and textile factory outlets and shops in the town of Como.Milan is 50 kms, 1 hours drive, so it is also ideal for combining a holiday with the world famous 'Monza Grand Prix', or any other sporting or business events which you may wish to attend in Milan.

All travel information will be provided to guests enquiring about the apartment, as well as a welcome book (provided in the apartment) with the local tours and suggested walking itineraries in the area, local information and suggested boat trips.

It is also five minutes drive away from the "Villa Oleandra" the villa acquired from the Heinz family by George Clooney, and George has been spotted in Argegno often mixing with the local people.

The Villa Fontanella, once inhabited by Gianni Versacci is 10 minutes drive away.

Villa Panoramica is also ideal for those who do not want to be troubled with driving in Italy. The local bus stops directly below the villa and so does the local boat. There is also a public bus service from Milan Malpensa airport and Como is also well served by the international train service. We can also offer an excellent English speaking taxi driver service, which is available on request. Switzerland is also a short drive away, 45 minutes by car,in fact, Argegno sits at the foot of the 'valle Intelvi' a beautiful open valley which links Lake Como to Lake Lugano in Switzerland where you can find the City of Lugano, Campione D'italia, with it's famous "Casino" and lovely lake front walk.The famous 'Jet set resort of St. Moritz is a two hour drive away.

While spending a holiday on Lake Como, you will have the chance to see much more than you would expect.
You could explore its breathtaking surroundings, beautiful villas and picturesque villages…
You could compare it with the less well known but far from less beautiful Lake Orta and Lake Lugano…
You could visit the nearby cities, full of history and culture, such as Milan, Bergamo and of course Como the capital city of the Lake, just to mention a few…
You could slip into Switzerland and pay a visit to Campione D’Italia and its casino, or travel a little further and enjoy the nature in one of the jet-set ski resorts such as St. Moritz.
A trip into the northern mountains to try the local wine and enjoy a ride on the 'glacier express' train which is always a thrilling experience, winter or summer.

The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa, but you can also fly to Linate and Bergamo, Orio al Serio, low fair airlines fly into all of these airports.

Reach Como by train and or bus, or hire a car from the many hire car companies which offer their services at the airports.

Driving from the UK is now easy, quick and enjoyable, we are just across the Swiss boarder and the nearest boarder point is Chiasso.

The nearest railway station is Como San Giovanni and international trains pass through here every hour or so. You can make it a twin centre holiday and travel by the Italian rail service, which, by the way is very reliable.

We also have a very good taxi service, with English speaking drivers and we will be happy to give you their contact number when you book.

“Lovely apartment, fantastic views - would without doubt return!” Myself, my husband and 2 year old daughter stayed at this lovely apartment for 4 nights. The apartments decor was lovely and most of all it was spotlessly clean! The views from the balcony were breath taking and was a pleasure to wake up to each morning. Silvana who owns the apartment was excellent throughout the booking, from the initial enquiry to the actual stay. She was helpful beyond expectation and helped us a great deal. The apartment is a 5-7 minute walk (downhill - not as quick on the uphill return!) to the resort of Argegno which has a number of lovely restaurants so the location was excellent. The supermarket is a short drive away for any essentials. I would reccomend the resort of Argegno as it was very easy to get around the lake as there is a boat that goes around the other resorts. This is a much easier way of exploring as the roads around Lake Como take a bit of getting used too! I loved Lake como, the apartment and the whole experience although I do think it is more of a holiday for couples or families with older children as there isn't much around to entertain a young child. I will definately return to Lake Como when my daughter is older, and will certainly return to stay at the Villa Panoramica!

“Fantastic stay!” You always hope for something special for your honeymoon and at Villa Panoramica that's what we got! The accommodation was wonderful - well presented with all the facilities you need. It's in a lovely location, with stunning views over the lake and to the mountains. The village itself was very pleasant and we found everyone to be very helpful with our mediocre Italian. It's a short walk to the ferry terminal - which is a huge plus. All the main towns and villages were so easy to get to, but back in Argegno you could escape the crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet. The owners were particularly helpful and able to answer all of our questions and offer advice on the best things to see and do. Will definitely be planning a return trip!
