La Bastidonne : Very quiet property of 4.5 hectares (organic farmhouse) in the prettiest part of the Luberon.


Le Mas des Lavandes and Le Mas du Luberon, each sleeping accommodation for 4/6 . 95 square yards.
Le Mas de L'olivier 150 square yards for 6/7. (2 bathrooms)
3 Charming Provençal houses standing independent of and well screened from each other. They have breathtaking views of the Luberon montains, looking south or west over fields to the Parc Naturel Regional du Luberon (the magnificent range of hills where "Manon des Sources" was filmed).

The 3 properties are independent, have their own secluded terraces for sunny lunches & dining under the stars, private garden, as well as being suitably decorated in French country style. In addition to your garden, the property sands within 4.5 hectares of land where the owners grow organic strawberries, raspberries and vegetables, along with lavender which is used for its precious oil.

A secured outdoor swimming pool 12 x 8 m , 100 m away from the houses to coll off is at your disposal, shared by the 3 properties and the owners. Very large paved surroud and magnificient views of the Luberon.
Each house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. (Chimmey, Barbecue, garden chairs). Car park.

Only 5 minutes drive (2.5 km) to the charming village of Céreste.

Very quiet area near Lavender fiels.

The Apt / Luberon area

Excursions :

* An unusual sight are the ochre quarries of Roussillon just beyond Apt, since Roman times.

* A must for budding astronomers is a visit to the Observatoire de Haute Provence near Forcalquier.

* Aix-en Prvence, a lively university town famous for its fountains, summer music festival, Vasarely museum and animated atmosphere.

* A short drive away, but still within easy reach, are more famous Provençal towns with amotive names : Avignon (with "Le Palais des Papes"), Isles sur la Sorgue, Pernes les Fontaines and Fontaine de Vaucluse.

* To the south of the Luberon range is the valley of the durance, one of France's foremost fruit producing regions.

* Markets are a way of life in Provence, each day you can choose to go to a Provençal market to find delicious cheeses, sausages, in season cherries... Apt, Forcalquier, Gordes, Banon, Sault, Roussillon, St Rémy de Provence....

This was our first holiday in France, but certainly not the last. Provence got too meters under our skin. We simply love nature and the surrounding in Luberon. We are going back to Denmark, with so many nice memories, but our journey in Provence just started, there are so many other things to explore here. We will be back.
