Carrickfinn Coastal Cottage (with Sauna) on the Wild Atlantic Way is 4* Failte Ireland (Irish tourist Board) approved, and offers quality Self Catering Accommodation.

Our Holiday Cottage is furnished to a high standard and tastefully decorated. The sitting/dining/kitchen area is open plan.. There are 3 ensuite bedrooms (sleeps 7) bathroom and the added attraction of a sauna.

Outside there is a garden with ample parking.

After an enjoyable at the beach or touring our beautiful county, visitors can relax and watch the sunset on the sheltered deck with garden furniture, all handmade by Cathal.

Carrickfinn Cottage is located in a quiet, safe and peaceful area. Its just a few minutes walk to the nearest beach. Carrickfinn is a peninsula, there are many golden sandy beaches to choose from, one has Blue Flag status.

Ideal for seeing all the attractions Co. Donegal has to offer.

Owners live nearby and are available if our visitors need our help or advice.

The ground floor has a large open plan area. This comprises of a sitting room /dining room /kitchen with all mod cons.

The utility room has washing, drying, and ironing facilities.There is a large ensuite bedroom with double bed.

Adjoining the bathroom is the sauna.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms. Both are ensuite. One bedroom has a double and a single bed, the other has a double bed.

All rooms have good quality furniture and tastefully decorated.

Electricity and ofch have meters. We read these on arrival and departure and charged as per usage .

We apply prices at the suppliers invoiced rate.

All bedlinen and turf are supplied free of charge.


There is spectacular scenery in abundance, mountains, lakes, sea and golden sand.

Part of the Carrickfinn peninsula is an Area of Special Conservation.

It is home to the fox, badger, pheasant and in summer the corncrake can be heard calling on a mate.

The array of wildflowers makes the area the artists and photographers paradise.

The peace and quiet attracts all age groups.

It is a great base to see Donegal, but for many, that gets put on the long finger, as there is so much to do here.

It is 5Km to the nearest village, Annagry, and 8 Km to the nearest town Dungloe.

Flybe operate flights twice daily all year around from Donegal Regional Airport Carrickfinn to Dublin and 4 times daily all year around to Glasgow. Car hire is available at the airport.
