Solneige is located in the beautiful alpine village of Vaujany which combines its authentic mountain atmosphere with the most up to date high-tech facilities.With south facing panoramic views over the valley, yet close to all facilities and directly connected with the superb ski area of Alpe d'Huez ( 1250-3330m).
Superb skiing with a mighty vertical of 2230m, claimed to be the longest in the Alps. Queuing is unknown in Vaujany!
Solneige, one of the most beautiful chalets of Vaujany, offers you 6 comfortable rooms with their own en-suite facilities and balcony with breathtaking views over the Alps. 3 Double, 2 triple and a family room, sleeps in total 16 persons. If you need more rooms it is possible to make a booking together with one of our apartments ( each sleeps 6) on half board base.
YOUR HOLIDAY WILL BEGIN WITH A GLASS OF SPARKLING WINE WHEN YOU ARE WELCOMED BY JAN, MIRJAM AND THEIR PROFESSIONAL STAFF.
In the morning we will serve you a substantial breakfast and coming home after another exiting day in the mountains an afternoon tea greats you on your return. Before dinner you can enjoy an aperitif in the ambiance of our vaulted ceiling living room ( 70m2) in front of the cosy log-fire on comfortable couches. Or enjoy your after ski once in the hot-tub or spoil yourself with a massage, all provided to help you relax!
In the evening we will serve you an unhurried superb culinary dinner partnered with quality (AOC) French wines. You can accompany your after dinner coffee with some home made or local digestives.
HOT STONE THERAPY SPA MASSAGE A greatly energising massage using the termal healing power of heated basalt stones. A must for those wishing an escape from any strains and stresses.

Alpe d'Huez / Vaujany area
IN WINTER, there is alpine skiing from beginners to blackslopes, for ski, skwal, telemark or cross-country. Skating and hang-gliding are also possible. If you are an outdoor person and a lover of mountain landscapes, discover another approach to the mountains. Put on your snow shoes and accompony your guide over prepared tracks amidst winter mountain panoramas. You'll discover the wild life, the antilopes and alpine fawn deer.
Th''Grandes Rousses'' massif, with Alpe d'Huez as its capitole, is a genuine all-round ski resort with excellent nursery slopes, good intermediate runs, long black ( difficult) trails and extremely serious off-piste. Vital statistics: 3330m - 1100m pisted giving 2230m of vertical. 119 pistes-245km. 700 Artificial snow cannons ensure you perfect ski conditions for the entire ski season. We will delighted to assist you with many aspects of your holiday: ski passes, booking ski school, hire of skis and boots and on the day, introduce you to the joy of skiing Vaujany and the ''Grandes Rousses'' massif, to the best slopes and mountain restaurants.
IN SUMMER: you can go mountain climbing with experienced guides, fish in the lakes and mountain streams and hang-glide. There are tennis courts for free in Vaujany! Do you want to discover the mountains by bike or simply enjoy the peace of walking amongst flowers and countryside of spectacular beauty. There is something for everyone.

Further details indoors: SOLNEIGE OFFERS YOU ALSO 2 SELF CATERED, WELL FURNISHED APARTMENTS, each with 3 bedrooms ( bedlinen provided) , an atractively decorated living room with a fully equipped kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and a big south facing balcony with a lovely view on the valley. All our quests who will stay in the apartments can also use the beautiful garden and the hot-tub. On request it is possible to have dinner with us.
Further details outdoors: The regular free shuttle bus ( bus stop is next to the chalet ), or our own on call mini bus shuttle service will bring you up to the village centre or cable car whenever you want in less then 3 minutes.
We have a heated ski locker for you in front of the cable car, where you can leave behind all your equipments, safe and warmed.
If you come with your own car, there is a free covered parking place just in front of the cable car.
In Vaujany there is a very good ( award winning) day nurserey , one of the best in the Alpes! Please let us know in advance if you want to use the child facilities so we can make a reservation for you in advance. Also it is necessary to bring the health certificate of your children.
