“The location is " to die for "” Beautiful cottage in an awesome location . It's very rural so don't go if you're a dedicated townie. You have to make your own nightlife unless you drive out somewhere.Four of us went so we didn't get bored, it would be great for a big family gathering ( 4 cottages ) or a group of friends. We hired bicycles which was great fun and easy riding along the towpath next to the river Blavet. Sadly, the weather wasn't very good so we didn't get to use the lovely pool but we did get to use the cosy log fire !

“Beautiful cottages in idyllic location” We had a good week here in June. Sadly the weather was not particulary good so we weren't really able to enjoy the pool, grounds or barbecue. However, if it had been dry these facilities would have been fantastic and the pool and grounds were perfectly maintained. Instead we enjoyed a roaring fire some evenings, with plenty of fuel for the wood burner from the woodpile!! There is plenty to do in the area and day trips out to Carnac, Lorient and some of the coast resorts were enjoyable, as was the market at Hennebont. The bar/restaurant at the bridge only serves food at lunchtime. We ate in a fair bit - allowed us to have some wine without driving- and the cooking facilities were excellent with plenty of dishes, pots etc. Beds were comfortable and bathroom nicely fitted. Jeanine was very welcoming and once you were settled in unobtrusive, but there if you needed her, or wanted a chat ( in pidgeon french/english) The welcome pack was great - good quality ham and pate, cheese, fruit, wine, milk and other treats and we dined well on the contents. So, even for a rainy week in June we enjoyed the cottage greatly and found plenty to do and see. If it had been sunny I doubt we would have ventured far !

“We enjoyed a fantastic Christmas week” It was an ideal location for our far sprung family (Colorado, Texas, France & Germany) to come together and enjoy the holiday season together. The kitchen is superbly equipped and allowed us to prepare all of our meals as if we were in our own kitchen. The heated floors were a true delight in the mornings before the full effects of the massive fireplace could be appreciated.

“A comfortable and spacious Gite” We found the cottage exactly as described on the website. It is spacious with extremely comfortable lounge furniture. The hosts who live next door were not intrusive and when asked gave excellent advice about things to do in the area. We only used the bicyles on one occassion but knowing that these facilities are available adds to the holiday pleasure. Having WiFi is an added bonus and the flat panel TV with both french and English channels is great for those who feel the need to catch up with the world news. The cottage is set in a very quiet hamlet surrounded by farms. it is only a 5 minute drive to pick up the morning baguette or small items.

“A great stay at Mimosa Lodge!” We arrived at Mimosa Lodge on our motor bike from Caen via the overnight ferry feeling a little tired and looking slightly dishevelled, but after no time at all were fully relaxed. A beautiful house, in perfect surroundings. Thanks to all concerned, we had a great stay. Looking forward to the next time . . . . . this year I hope!
