Light floods through the tall French doors that open onto a balcony overlooking the main square of this medieval trading town right on the Dordogne River, not far from St Emilion in the beautiful Bordeaux wine country of Aquitaine. Ste-Foy is a sophisticated French provincial town with nearby historical sites and great restaurants, cafes and bars. The Saturday market, right outside the apartment building, is famous, and rated in the top 100 markets in France.

This stylish two-bedroom apartment has two queen-sized bedrooms, modern kitchen and bathroom, separate toilet, washing machine and dryer, hair dryer, TV, DVD, CD, ipod speakers, and a small library of books. It is on the second floor of a security building with a lift.If you stand on the balcony of the apartment, you are looking at the Place Gambetta, or the town square. The lovely 19th century building in the centre of the square is the Mairie or the Town Hall. On three sides of the square are les Arcades - the arched walkways.It is lovely to wander around the square, at any time. The food is wonderful - this is, after all, rural France - and reasonably priced. And of course, you are in Bordeaux, one of the great wine-regions on earth. St Emilion is a 20 minute drive away, and a similar time on the train.You will find patisseries for the morning pastry or baguette, and cafés and bars around the square, and a number of great restaurants around the town and in the nearby districts.Nearby, within easy access by car or train, are the breathtaking sites of pre-history in the Vézère valley, including the Lascaux caves. The Dordogne valley has some wonderful medieval sites, like the great castles at Castelnaud, Beynac and Domme. The beautiful late medieval, early Renaissance city of Sarlat is an easy drive or train ride away and is an absolute must-see.The town and the apartment are easily accessible by road or by train. Nearest international airports are Bordeaux (about 80 km) and Bergerac (about 20 km). The rail connection to Paris is through either Bordeaux or Libourne. Please contact us for details. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kerry (the owner) a message.

If Kerry (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
