“Can't wait to go back!” We had an amazing time on our girls getaway to beautiful Bequia. My friends and I wanted to go on one last trip before one of us got married. We needed to stay somewhere special, spacious and relaxing, and didn't want to be jammed into a hotel room. It was 8 of us so space was essential. Sadewa Villa was the perfect place. It had all the space we needed and the house was modern and truly lovely. Even better, it seemed like we were on our own private island because there was nobody around even though were were only a few minutes from the beach and town. We all loved it and want to make this trip every other year. Cindy

St. Vincent and the Grenadines holidays

Comprised of St. Vincent and a chain of islands named the Grenadines, this Caribbean holiday hotspot is filled with tropical beauty, pristine beaches and thriving island culture. Most visitors to the archipelago will touch down in the city of Kingstown on St. Vincent where the city's cobblestone streets and funky Caribbean feel make it a perfect place to get acquainted with the island. You can visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines anytime of the year, as its climate shows very little variation throughout the year.

The country's top sights, attractions and activities include:

  • Canouan Island: This island is universally celebrated for its mystic beauty and tropical splendour. A honeymooner's paradise, Canouan, Grenadines' hilly, tree-lined landscapes slope down to kiss the sands of some of the Caribbean's clearest waters.
  • Dark View Falls: Located on the island of St. Vincent, Dark View Falls is actually a pair of waterfalls which will make for some of the best photographs you've ever taken. Popular with locals and visitors alike, a visit to Dark View Falls is a must for any first-time visitor.
  • Kingstown: Filled with colonial architecture, some of which dates back centuries, Kingstown's old town and botanical gardens are wonderful places to explore when you've had your fill of the beach. The city's restaurants and entertainment hotspots offer a true taste of island life.
  • Beaches: The beaches of Bequia, Palm Island, Mustique, and Young Island are the ideal place to kick back and relax. You can also go surfing or enjoy some of the best snorkelling and scuba diving in the world at these beaches.
  • Tobago Cays: Home to the Tobago Cays Marine Park, these uninhabited islands are filled with rare wildlife and colourful plants. Visitors can take arranged tours, which prevent people from interfering with the cays' delicate ecosystem.

The Maroon festival, held each year in May, is a wonderful time to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This traditional celebration is a type of rain dance, in which islanders drum, dance and drink in an effort to coax the gods into being generous with rainfall. While accommodations are plentiful throughout the year in the country's inhabited islands, condo and villa rentals are ideal for groups, couples and families. holiday rentals put you in close proximity to the beach while offering privacy, convenience and luxury. Luckily, St. Lucia, Barbados, Granada, and Trinidad and Tobago are all very close to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It is easy and inexpensive to travel to these neighbouring countries from Kingstown if you choose to continue your Caribbean adventure.

A&D’s Tennis Villa
"Home from Home"

We are a retired couple from the UK. We enjoyed our month's stay at A & D's Tennis Villa (mid January to mid February 2023). The villa is very well maintained, comfortable and secure, with attractive, well-tended gardens surrounding the property. In effect it was a "home from home" for us. Vaughn also looked after us very well during our stay. The property is located in the pleasant residential area of Villa Fountain, with the advantage of views towards the mountains inland and also down the hill to the coast at Villa (about 2 miles away), where there are sandy beaches with safe swimming. We rented a 4 x 4 car which gave us the freedom to explore the island at our leisure. .see more
Ravenala House, Lower Bay, Bequia, The Grenadines
We've searched through the Caibbean for just this place

Ravenala House on Bequia was everything we'd hope it would be. We were looking for a place to escape to during Christmas where we could kickback and relax, enjoy family time and experience the Caribbean without large resorts.  The house is perched on a hillside with an amazing view of the harbour and the small town of Port Elizabeth. We spent many hours on the covered deck relaxing, reading and enjoying the cool breezes. In addition to the covered deck there's a pool deck with direct sunlight - enough that the "teenager" could sunbathe between cooling plunges in the pool. The infinity pool is "sublime". It offers a tree top view out over the Caribbean to St. Vincent in the distance.  From your perch (they've thought of everything including built-in seats in the pool) you can watch the lights of the yachts and sailboats come on as day turns to night.  We're very picky about our surroundings and it's nothing for us to find the perfect location and price and then disregard the house because of some overblown heavy handed Caribbean Mama decorating. Ravenala House  is out of a home decorating magazine. Bill and Anne have taken the time to gentrify the house and create a vacation home that is relaxed, stylish and easy on your eyes. Cool white and blues combined with touches of dark teak and a hint of Caribbean pattern make this the perfect setting to relax in and ease your senses.  The kitchen is well stocked, there's a propane barbecue on the deck and the beds are comfortable with good quality linens. Unexpected extras were the screens on all of the windows and doors which made for mosquito free sleeping and the fruit trees in the garden. There's ample space to hang and store all your "stuff" and nice little touches like bath soaps, games and books.  Every bedroom comes with its own bathroom and they are amazing. Decorated in coral and pebble-stone tile they are simple, beautiful and functional. If you're lucky and get the room on the main floor the shower windows open up to offer a view of the harbour so you can enjoy the view while under the rain-head shower. We've been to the Four Seasons in the Maldives with incredible outdoor showers and this one is comparable.  So there are a few negatives (we say negative loosely because they're really small inconveniences to overcome!) There's no dishwasher and the road up from town will challenge your skills the first time. Be patient and you'll get the hang of the local road which is made easier by the good quality small SUV that comes with the house. There's no direct beach access but a 5 minute walk down the hill will get you to Lower Bay where there's beautiful Caribbean sand and wonderful snorkeling.  Getting to Bequia can be a challenge (as we discovered) with your best bet being to fly into Barbados, hop over to St, Vincent on Liat, stay the night if your flight is late and take the 45 minute ferry ride the next morning. The ferry will set the pace for the slow life you're going to experience on Bequia. If you're lucky (like we were) Tim will meet you at the dock, help you to provision and then take you up to the house. see more
The Old Fort
A great place to stay in a great location!

This apartment had been recently renovated and we found it to be very comfortable and in a fabulous location. There were a few little niggly things wrong but the agent worked very quickly to fix everything and most pleasant to deal with. We spent a month here and would happily come back. The only drawback at the time was the building facade was undergoing renovation and this was quite noisy for several days. But on the whole, we loved it, although the mattress in the main bedroom was a bit hard.see more
Bequia Rental Villa - The Spice House, Bequia, St Vincent & the Grenadines
Fabulous- we really enjoyed out stay - it exceeded our expectations in so many ways

The exceptional style and grace are clearly evident in every aspect of this lovely one level villa. The architecture has been designed to capture this impressive location. We were warmly met on arrival by our housekeeper who showed us around. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable four poster beds, top quality white linen, wonderful atmosohere, ambience and privacy of this villa. The beautiful pool and spacaciius terrace invite guests to revel in the panoramic views. We sipped cocktails looking out to sea and into the sunset! You are guaranteed to relax and enjoy! We really had a most enjoyable stay at The Spice House, which exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We have stayed at many high end villas and cannot fault this one. - very highly recommended.see more
