“Paradise” Ratnakara is a luxurious, large and comfortable villa. Set amongst a jungle full of monkeys and beautiful rocky bays. There is a small bay just down the driveway and the walk to the lighthouse is a must. The staff are professional, warm and very attentive to all your needs. The house dogs were friendly and our kids loved them. The pool was huge and I would do laps every morning. We enjoyed the cooking from the chef and found deciding what to eat the most difficult aspect of our day. We absolutely loved staying at this amazing villa and could not recommend it highly enough for every type of traveller. Do your self a favour and book this villa whilst in Srilanka. We are so glad we did...
“Perfect place in Sri Lanka to enjoy the beach, people and cultur” My husband and I travelled through Sri Lanka for a couple weeks, then off to Maldives for a week and were looking for a spot to unwind back in Sri Lanka to wrap up our holiday, this place was perfect. The house is simple but has everything you need (including a washing machine - which we weren't expecting, but was a great treat after travelling for several weeks). Right from the initial booking, Gavin was responsive and the transaction was easy. The staff at the house arranged a driver from/to the airport (about 3 hours) which worked great, stopped to pick up beers for the ride :). Mahinda greeted us and visited a couple times to ensure we had everything we needed. The house staff on site were always busy cleaning the yard, house other accomodations. The security guard overnight was really smiley as well. Mahinda's brother made us a lovely seafood bbq on the beach in our backyard and it was amazing! If we come back to Sri Lanka, we will definitely come back to this house!
“A hidden gem in the south.” What a beautiful property!! We stayed for 4 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. Asitha, Asela and the grounds staff were always ready to assist. We arrived at 3 am and both men were up to help us with our bags and settle in after a long flight.
Breakfast by the pool the next morning had us thinking we were in paradise. Looking across the infinity pool through the palms to the paddy fields while savouring freshly cooked fish curry and string hoppers was truly an exotic experience. The proximity of the villa to both Hikkaduwa (walking) and Galle, just a short tuk tuk ride away, made this an ideal position for rest or activity as we wished.
