“Amazing!” First time in Roatan. My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet location for diving and snorkeling. This was the perfect location. Dennis and Marcia are very gracious hosts. Before I arrived Marcia had sent detailed information regarding Roatan, fun things to do, various attractions, the best places to eat. After we got there we enjoyed snorkeling and kayaking right off the dock, diving during the day, sitting on the deck in the evenings. We stayed for 5 nights and had a SUV rental. I would definitely recommend Castaways Cove if you want to be away from the crowds and have a beautiful view in a well kept boathouse with wonderful hosts and amazing snorkeling and dive sites close by.
Stayed February 2014, traveled as a couple
“Stairway to heaven!!” This is our first time using Vrbo, and cant say enough great things about the owner and the property!!
Beautiful balcony overlooking the the ocean, and pool with waterfall. The property manager Kelly arranged for us to be picked up at the airport. A nice 25 minute drive to the place and was greeted by Kelly. She was very nice and helpful and gave us a list of good places to eat, drink, and go diving. Once you walk in you are immediately surrounded by the beautiful interior of the condo. The kitchen was fully equipped with every necessity form home you could need. Coffee maker, blender (for frozen drinks!), microwave, stove oven. Very well decorated!! The Master bedroom, and second bedroom were just to unreal! Something you will have to see with your own eyes to believe! We liked the second bedroom with the bamboo bed frame! Very nice, very luxurious! Pictures do not do this place justice! I immediately felt like I was "home" and never wanted to leave.
The only detracting factor were the steps. 68 to be exact. We actually called it the stairway to heaven because thats what it is!! This was not a problem for me and the wife as we are fairly young and spry but can see if you don't like stairs or are allergic to a little exercise you might not like this place.

“Beautiful house and location” Loved this house and vacation!!
pros - kayaks (2 kayaks for adults, 2 kayaks for children)
close to nice reefs to snorkel
close drive to West End
walking distance to restaurants on Sandy Bay
aC in bedrooms
In a neighborhood with many locals around - great cultural experience
Not "touristy" feeling
Chef Susan was a great experience. Very fun and yummy!
Staff helpful with setting up excursions and any help needed
Lots of privacy in the house - perfect for several families who come together - 5 separate areas
no aC in living area of main house
10 minutes to get to reef by swimming from Sandy Bay or kayaking from Gibson Bight (need to be adventurous)
roosters loud in morning
beach at the house is not white sand - not really where you would sit on beach
Sandy Beach is not pretty, white sand either (Go to West Bay beach for beautiful beach/white sand)
Mostly a grass bottom in Gibson Bight and Sandy Beach until you reach the reef
House is on a dirt road that is kind of hard to get to if you rent a car (very bumpy and narrow)
We were very happy we stayed at Casa admirada. Beautiful house and view. Good location.
“exactly what we wanted!” Reaching TurtleBeach we felt immediately at home. Paul and Tommy arranged for anything we needed during our stay and were great company. They are building a dream in a fabulous location exactly as described on their site. The cabins/cottages, clean and nicely appointed are tucked into the hillside providing views from numerous locations. Special touches are everywhere - the carpentry and stone work is beautiful throughout the property. Decks with hammocks, natural tree trunk tables and chairs provide unique areas to relax in private or as a group, including a large deck with outdoor bbq and cooktop which we used for most of our meals. Fresh coconuts were cut for us by Carlos the friendly and very efficient gardener. There are other fruits when in season. The property is nice and secluded yet only a short walk along the beautiful beach in either direction to West End and West Bay where there are plenty of restos, shops, dive and snorkel shops, etc...these are also accessible by water taxi for $3 per person to and from the dock on the property. The pool is lovely with a beautiful view overlooking the beach, breathtaking sunsets and waterfall built into the rock wall. Snorkelling and swimming right in front, kayaking to the reef all amazing and easy to access. Many activities and destinations close by. After a day of adventure and watching the sunset we kicked back in the evenings to relax in our cabin and enjoy the extensive movie and music library the boys have compiled - and the aC works! If you are looking for a kick back, feel good, relaxed getaway with a funky island feel, all the amenities, super hosts in a great location - this is it! We both had an amazing trip and plan to return with the rest of the family soon.
