“Perfect !” This honestly was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The house was very clean, homely and comfortable. Surrounded by amazing nature, there is a beautiful lake right on your doorstep. Unsurprisingly we loved the hot tub - it really
“Apartment” We stayed in Angie's apartment mid December for 5 days. The location of the apartment is fantastic! Literally a moments walk into the town centre and a few moments away from the ring road which connects you to all locations.
“Well equipped cottage--great location.” Despite the fact the weather wasnt great we enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The owner was very efficient at answering my queries when booking and everything ran smoothly. The beds were already made up when we

Brand new cozy studio
Cosy by name cosy by nature
Highly recommend and value for money.
Our first visit to Iceland and the choice of Mosfellbaer as a location was perfect. The studio flat has been nicely refurbished and is in a quite residential area. Close to good supermarkets and the main road network but you cannot see or hear them. Looking out of the doors leading to the veranda you can see the surrounding hills, a 10 min stroll and you get to the coast line.
We have found the space to be good for three people and would accommodate four, with out getting on top of each other. the bed is sooooo comfy, the only problem is getting out of it. The pull down couch has a good thick futon and is easy to operate. We only had one person sleeping on it but it would be ample for a couple. It is very light and airy with the far wall being mainly made up of patio doors and windows.
Oh, and a lovely hot shower.
The outside of the block is a little in need of a face lift but do not be put off, inside is warm and clean and feels like home.
Two rings in the kitchen so simple cooking is possible and we did self catering for two weeks.
The owners are really helpful live in the block and are very friendly, and the people we have met in the block have also been friendly. Security wise you have two locked doors, one from the main stairwell into a small hallway and then one into the room. Although to be honest I have not felt once in Iceland that I needed any lock at all. …

Beautiful Downtown Apartment
This is a great aparment to stay - recommended
We stayed here for 4 nights, the description in the information is accurate. The apartment was spacious, clean, warm and very well equipped. Location very central. Bedrooms were either side of the apartment, so it gave privacy. The owner regularly checked that all was well, which was appreciated. We would like to return. …
Luxury Apartment Reykjavik101
Awesome apartment in a perfect location.
Everything about this apartment is ideal, location, size, and amenities, for visiting Reykjavik and as a base for the rest of Iceland. The apartment is exactly as shown in the advetisment. Exceptionally clean and well equiped. Plenty of space for a family or couple. The owner and her "handbook" for restaurants and sites were helpful and spot on. We'll be back in the summer and will stay here again. …
Reykjavik getaway at waterfront with wifi and geothermal hottub.
Amazing picturesque location and a really lovely place!!
Myself, my sister & Father stayed here from 1st April 2016 until the 5th April.
Before we arrived Inga had sent me instructions on getting access to the cabin and also was really helpful with local knowledge and advice!
Inga has created a book which has all the info you need to know about the cabin and how to work everything.
We had no problems with anything at all!
The cabin is decorated really nicely and there is a huge dining table with a gorgeous chandelier!!
The location is amazing! Surrounded by mountains and the lake. It is the perfect spot to see the Northern Lights! (which we were lucky enough to see on our 2nd night into our stay!)
There is no light pollution at all.
The cabin is supplied with a full drawer of spices and herbs for cooking with and all cooking utensils, plates, glasses etc are provided.
Inga was also kind enough to supply us with some fishing rods and also some of the local delicacy to taste! (Shark!!)
There is a cafe close by to the cabin (about 5 minutes drive max).
3 double bedrooms each with very comfy bedding.
There is also a play house in the garden for children.
The electric radiators are very good and we didn't need to use the log burner once!!
The cabin is about 40 mins away from Reykjavik and it is a fairly easy drive... Pretty much straight all the way there.
You definitely need a hire car to get to the cabin.
Thanks Inga for a lovely stay.
The photos don't do it justice!
We will definitely be back!!
Brekka - A Quality Cottage with a View
A brilliant place to get away from it all.
Brekka Lodge is located in an amazing surrounding. It is perched on the side of a mountain. There were three other lodges some distance away. There was hardly any noise to be heard, apart from the occasional passing car at the bottom of the mountain or a bird. From the lodge you can see the ocean, green bushes as far as the eye can see and snow capped mountains in the distance. The views from each window of the lodge were wonderful.
The lodge itself is conveniently located so that you are able to see majority of the tourist sites by car. However, once you see the lodge, it's location, the scenery around and enjoy its' outdoor hot tub, you may not want too see the rest of the country.
The couple who own and run the place are very helpful and understanding. They will go out of their way to make your stay in their property a memorable one. For example, we arrived at the lodge at around 3:00am and they had kindly purchased some essentials for breakfast on our behalf.
The only negative thing I can think of from our perspective is that we could have done with another toilet as we were a large group.
I would highly recommend this lodge but would warn occupants to notify the owners of any broken furniture they come across so to avoid any confusion about who is responsible. If life permits, I would love to go back again in a few years time to enjoy the northern lights. …
