Brekka - A Quality Cottage with a View
Absolutely stunning house had everything you need. Beautiful location with views over the fjord and hills.Would have no hesitation in recommending here to any one. You would not be disappointed. …
Reykjavik getaway at waterfront with wifi and geothermal hottub.
This honestly was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The house was very clean, homely and comfortable. Surrounded by amazing nature, there is a beautiful lake right on your doorstep. Unsurprisingly we loved the hot tub - it really adds so much to the house, at the end of every day we spent hours in it taking in the views of the lake and the mountains. The location is exactly what we were looking for too - far enough out to feel a world away from Reykjavik, but still in fact only 40 minutes' drive. There is a very pleasant lakeside cafe and shop literally 2 minutes' drive away. (And plenty of other things such as a farmer's market etc, though we did not visit that personally as we were too busy driving mountain roads!). You really do get the best of both worlds in terms of being very peaceful and isolated but well connected and catered for at the same time. Between the 3 of us we have visited Iceland several times and I think this was definitely our favourite place to stay yet, we hope to be back!
Brand new cozy studio
Cosy by name cosy by nature
Highly recommend and value for money.
Our first visit to Iceland and the choice of Mosfellbaer as a location was perfect. The studio flat has been nicely refurbished and is in a quite residential area. Close to good supermarkets and the main road network but you cannot see or hear them. Looking out of the doors leading to the veranda you can see the surrounding hills, a 10 min stroll and you get to the coast line.
We have found the space to be good for three people and would accommodate four, with out getting on top of each other. the bed is sooooo comfy, the only problem is getting out of it. The pull down couch has a good thick futon and is easy to operate. We only had one person sleeping on it but it would be ample for a couple. It is very light and airy with the far wall being mainly made up of patio doors and windows.
Oh, and a lovely hot shower.
The outside of the block is a little in need of a face lift but do not be put off, inside is warm and clean and feels like home.
Two rings in the kitchen so simple cooking is possible and we did self catering for two weeks.
The owners are really helpful live in the block and are very friendly, and the people we have met in the block have also been friendly. Security wise you have two locked doors, one from the main stairwell into a small hallway and then one into the room. Although to be honest I have not felt once in Iceland that I needed any lock at all. …
Beautiful Downtown Apartment
We stayed in Angie's apartment mid December for 5 days. The location of the apartment is fantastic! Literally a moments walk into the town centre and a few moments away from the ring road which connects you to all locations.
The apartment itself is a home from home, every appliance and necessity you need. Modern and lovely and warm 24hrs a day!
Angie herself is very very accommodating and lovely.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Reykjavik. …
Luxury Apartment Reykjavik101
Awesome apartment in a perfect location.
Everything about this apartment is ideal, location, size, and amenities, for visiting Reykjavik and as a base for the rest of Iceland. The apartment is exactly as shown in the advetisment. Exceptionally clean and well equiped. Plenty of space for a family or couple. The owner and her "handbook" for restaurants and sites were helpful and spot on. We'll be back in the summer and will stay here again. …
