At the rear of the historic Wyndham apartment building in St Kilda, the former caretaker's cottage has been lovingly restored to create a unique holiday environment which feels worlds away yet is just meters from the bars and cafes of Fitzroy street and Albert Park/Grand Prix Circuit.

A 10 minute walk will take you to St Kilda beach, Acland street or Chapel street. Free parking available for guests.

Any other Melbourne destination too far to walk can be easily accessed by jumping on Melbourne's famous tram network with the nearest tram stop 150 meters (1 minute walk).

While it is ideal for a couple, the cottage can accommodate up to 4 (sofa bed in living area). Base price is for 2 adults. Each additional guest is $20 per night.

The cottage boasts an open plan living/dining room with couch and dining table and chairs, samsung tv, unlimited free wifi, Netflix, subscription tv programs, movies, audio system and Blueray/DVD player. We also provide books and magazines, games and movies.

The kitchen area has a breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven and gas stove.

The bathroom has a bath over shower and laundry facilities including washing machine/dryer and Hairdryer provided.

As of January 2016 have have a brand new reverse cycle air conditioning unit, furntiture including sofa couch, bbq, entertainment system and hotel quality linen.

Bedding configuration: One king size bed (can be converted into two extra length singles). Plus a sofa bed in the living room. Linen provided for sofa bed for bookings of 3 or more people.

Living/dining room: (Sofa lounge, Samsung TV, including Netflix, stereo, soft furnishings). The north facing living and dining area is light filled with a pleasant outlook to the garden. Seating configuration is a 2.5 seat sofa with footrest. Includes flat-screen with additional free subscription tv channels and movies, Blueray/DVD player and sound system for listing to music on your device. Dining set up for four.

Kitchen: (New appliances, crockery, cutlery etc March 2015). Kitchen is fully equipped with full size fridge/freezer, gas cooking, and quality appliances. All accessories and utensils are provided for both indoor and outdoor (BBQ) cooking and entertaining including crockery.

Bathroom: The bathroom has shower over a lovely deep bath. Towels are luxurious quality cotton and toiletries are by Mor. Washing machine/dryer and hairdryer are also provided.

Courtyard: The large private courtyard and garden includes a fish pond and is perfect for outdoor living. A six seat outdoor setting provides ample outdoor dining opportunities. A brand new Weber BBQ to make your outdoor cooking a breeze.

While the standard mimimum stay is 3 nights, a weekend (2 night rate) is available most weekends (excluding long weekends and events such as Grand Prix).

St Kilda is simply Melbourne's most loved locality. Vibrant, exciting and something wonderful around the corner for everyone. Along with the fabulous new venues to enjoy that are regularly established in the area, such as the Newmarket Hotel for dinner or drinks, St Kilda is home to Melbourne's most iconic locations and events including: The Espy Hotel, The Astor Theatre, Luna Park, St Kilda Pier and the famous Esplanade Market on Sunday. Who doesn't love great food? Well, you will be spoiled for choice from Milk the Cow in Fitzroy St just around the corner from Wyndham Cottage to Claypots Seafood in Barkly St you will go past hundreds of fabulous places to eat, just jump on the number 16 tram and same on the way home. Time to get physical, then you can't beat the gorgeous Albert Park lake and golf course area, then there is the St Kilda foreshore paths or the St Kilda warm water sea baths, including the hydrotherapy spa and gym overlooking the bay. The only bad thing about visiting St Kilda is having to leave!
