Vintage Bungalow (Baanthaeraek )
The old fashioned Southern Thai bungalows are situated in the heart of the island called Koh Yor of Songkhla province, South Thailand . They overlook the local fruit orchard on one side and Songkhla lake on the other side.
History
Baanthaeraek means ancient home in southern Thai dialect. These two bungalows were built in an ancient southern Thai style, in 2011 . It took 4 years to complete because of rare materials.
Wood These two bungalows were made of wood called “ Mai Kiam”, one of the best wood of South Thailand. It is very rare, unique and can massage your feet when you walk on it.
Bricks and Tiles King Rama the Fifth ordered this kind of bricks and tiles from Yor Island ( Koh Yor), Songkhla province, to renovate the temple in Bangkok.
Red stone This kind of stone is very extra-ordinary and found in Songkhla province only. There are fossils of trees shown in the inner layers of the stone.
The bungalow is close to Songkhla lake . You can see the lake from the terrace of the bungalow . It is about 100 metres far away from the lake. Moreover; you can use boat or car to travelling around the lake , touching nature and tasting the best seafood from the lake( only one in Thailand). If you have time a couple days , I would like to bring you to see many places such as beach, waterfall , museum shopping local souvenirs. I'm tourist guide and as the same time owner of the bungalows. I will charge you 1.500 baht per day for tourist guide. otherwise; you can go by yourself.
