Khamkirri means 'place of the leopard', that sounds exactly as the experience will be: unforgettable and exciting! Exciting yes, because what comes out of the bush? Is that a Giraffe? Kudu or …… ..? Especially in the evening when you sit on the porch enjoying a drink, cracking the bush is a great experience. How about enjoying the splash pool on the veranda overlooking the bush! In addition to the animals that regularly visit the garden, the villa has a view of the river of the Kruger Park, where the lions drink and so there is always something to experience. Kruger Park is very close so you can experience all sounds from the veranda. The park is very easy to visit from the villa, the entrance is proverbial almost around the corner (approx. 20 minutes drive from the villa). Khamkirri is a detached (self catering) holiday villa, built in African style (an original bush house) with a traditional thatched roof. The holiday villa consists of 2 buildings, built on a surface area of more than 2000 m2. From the verandas you have a view of the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park, the fence of which is about 150 meters from our villa. The villa has its own network with a fast WIFI reception, available 24/7 FREE! The villa is ideal for a larger family or group! There are no fewer than 8 sleeping places, 4 of which are in a separate building so that each can create its own space if desired. The villa itself consists of a spacious living room and a modern open kitchen with all modern conveniences. On the ground floor there is also the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a bath / hip bath, separate shower, toilet and a sink with 2 sinks. Everything beautifully finished in African style. The bedroom has lots of cupboard space and an air conditioner and a fan. On the upper floor there is a spacious bedroom that also has an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom consists of a shower, bathtub, sink and toilet. The bedroom has air conditioning and a fan. On the upper floor there is a spacious veranda and lounge area. There is a relax corner where you can relax. There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor of the annex. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, each with a shower, sink and toilet. The bedrooms are also equipped with air conditioning and fans. On the top floor you can easily retreat if you need some privacy, also here is a seat with a small kitchen unit and fridge. In addition to all the comfort and luxury inside, there is also much to experience outside. First of all, we have a separate outdoor dining area. This is somewhat shielded so that you can eat quietly here, suitable for both breakfast, lunch, and for dinner. Especially for dinner, we also have a separate section for the braai (African BBQ) with outside kitchen (with sink and water connection), so that cooking outside becomes a breeze! This way you can enjoy a nice barbecue together in the middle of the bush! Do not feel like cooking? Even that is an option in Marloth park, where there are several wonderful restaurants. Dear Judy, Thank you for your review, however as mentioned during our direct communication during and after your stay, again, we regret that you had a bad time at Marloth. We, as owners, and our housekeepers did our utmost during your stay to help you with all items. The baboons at Marloth are part of nature, for this reason we have to accept that they are around the premises. Unfortunately, some people feed them, for this reason they do get aggressive some times. We, and our housekeepers do instruct our guests to keep all windows closed during absence or in case not close to the house as these animals are quite smart and quick. It was unfortunate that they were able to break in thought the open window during your stay, and that they created a mess, even though you were close to the house. During your stay there was a rat/mice plague in Marloth due to the drought, we do regret that you had to find some during your stay. Even when we, and our housekeepers had done everything in our power to prevent them from coming in the house. (rat and mice traps were set, for safety reason only on places where people could not be hurt) The bush is beautiful but also sometimes difficult to have a house in. From our mutual contact after your stay, we thought we had cleared everything in our power, to compensate you, for the items which happened during your stay, and we are disappointed that after ten months you decided to give us this review. The golf clubs are available, free of charge, for all our guests, this only has to be requested to the housekeepers if guests would like to use them. We seriously consider all reviews and feedback, and are open for any criticism. We do want all our guests to enjoy their stay. With this feedback we would like to implement that Marloth park is situated in the African Bush, this is why it is a beautiful place with all nature and animals in it and were most of our guests love to be part of! How do damage deposits work?

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
