Description

The Treehouse offers you a real log cabin hideaway, only 1.5hrs from Newcastle. Wake to clean sweet air, in a forest, filled with birdsong; where native animals abound. Observe the wildlife from the comfort of the wrap around veranda.

The cabins are well appointed with all the appliances and technology you will need to make your stay easy and comfortable.

During the colder weather, a slow combustion wood heater keeps your cabin snug overnight, and nice and warm to return to.

For over 30 years Carawirry Cabins have been welcoming guests to the peace and beauty of the top end of the Main Creek Valley.

The cabins are separate, private and set in the forest on Carawirry Forest Escape which boasts rainforest, several creeks, high country, ridge forests and open grassland.

Because of this diversity of habitat, the property is home to a wonderful variety of animals and plants. Among the animals, the endangered Parma wallaby, powerful owl, and the koala, bettong and potoroo.

To make exploration safe and easy, there are numerous walking trails cut and sign posted throughout the property and neighbouring land. Chichester State Forest and the looming Bulga Range offer more challenging walks.

Each cabin is equipped with modern conveniences while still retaining it’s genuinely robust log cabin structure. They are double story with wrap around verandas on both levels.

Being set in the forest, guests are assured of sightings of animal and birdlife from the comfort of the veranda.

Our guests comment repeatedly about how; peaceful it is; the wildlife; the absolute privacy; the calming effect after city stress; and their delight in the surrounding beauty and being able to see the stars.

Carawirry is surrounded by State Forest and situated at the start of the forest circuit, and many drives to scenic and picnicking areas, as well and river swimming holes.

In a world gone crazy with stress, rush and noise – places like our peaceful, natural wonderland are heaven indeed.

How do damage deposits work?
