A unique holiday venue for lovers of nature and culture in the quiet North Bali coastal hills. It combines the look and feel of a cosy colonial home and a secluded jungle lodge. North Bali's major sights, and rural village life are nevertheless close by. Lovina's famous black sand beaches are even within walking distance! (appx. 50 minutes walk or 10 minutes by car or scooter).

Villa Sarah Nafi sits on a wooded slope and is surrounded by a terraced tropical garden of 2,500 square meters, adjacent to a steep river valley. House and garden are an ideal hideaway to relax, to recharge and to experience authentic North Bali and its friendly inhabitants. Enjoy the beauty of the sunsets over the Bali sea and - on a clear day - the Javanese volcano Baluran. And as night falls you may hear the enchanting gamelan sounds from villages down in the valley.

Villa Sarah Nafi was completed mid-2014. The site was formerly used for agriculture. You are surrounded by original vegetation like teak (djati) and cashew trees. In the river valley, you will find impressive bamboo groves that still form an important source of income for the local farmers.

The building design suits the environment, with a natural connection between inside and outside. And a living room that is completely open on two sides. When it rains hard it can be protected by bamboo blinds (called krees), these provide extra shade too when needed. Unique is the beautiful view of the surrounding hills, the coastal plain and the sea. In front of the living room and the two bedrooms is a veranda that opens onto a kidney-shaped fishpond. Due to the higher location in the hills, the tropical climate is most pleasant here. Villa Sarah Nafi is fully equipped for a comfortable stay for up to four people.

For first time visitors we recommend to order a car and driver by our helpdesk, since the villa might be hard to find for the first time. Beside this, they know the road, which is winding and steep and needs some maintenance. Pick up and transfer at the Airport can be arranged with your booking of the villa.

Wow! we are happy Villa Sarah Nafi 'surpassed all expectations' and you had such a great time in our house. The uphill road tarmac is improved now, but well, the final part is still winding and a bit steep. The view once there is the great reward. Sorry the wifi did not work. We had some troubles when staying there ourselves to get it running, in january, but the attentive helpesk staff fixed in in a minute after one phonecall. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Max (the owner) a message.

If Max (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
