Description

La Manga Club is primarily a golf and tennis resort with plenty of activities for families. Unless you want to, you don't need to move from the resort, and you can be as active or lazy as you choose! There are a variety of restaurants, good nightlife, and you have the convenience of having a supermarket and even a Doctor if required. The villa is in a peaceful situation, with views overlooking the hills, but within easy walking distance of the restaurants and tennis courts.

The space

I hope you will find my villa is home from home. This is my home for at least 4 months of the year and so the kitchen is well equipped with all the usual electrical gadgets, an American style fridge/freezer, electric hob, oven and microwave, and a dishwasher. The utility room has washing machine, dryer, additional fridge useful for drinks, iron and ironing board. The villa is kept to a high standard.

I have a large 'desert' garden at the back of the house, and a pretty courtyard at the front also with table and chairs. There are 2 further terraces, one with a table tennis table, so you can always find sun or shade. The pool can be heated and access is via steps - much easier for the young and not so young than a ladder entry. There are two areas covered with awning to provide maximum shade, one with comfy sofas seating 8 and the other over the dining table.

Guest access

Guests have full use of the whole villa which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the ground floor, and a bedroom and ensuite and a 2nd sitting room with TV on the first floor. 2 of the bedrooms have 6' beds, and the twin rooms can be made up as double beds if required. All 3 showers are 'walk in' and the bathroom between bedroom 2 and 3 has a shortened bath.

There are TVs in the main sitting room, 2nd sitting room, and Bedroom 1 and 2. It is cable TV which has BBC and ITV and 10 Sky Sports channels and a few channels for younger children. Altogether I can count 64 channels + BBC Radio stations!

I have a few toys for children and puzzles. In the 2nd sitting room there is quite a large selection of paperback books.

Outside there are plenty of sun loungers and chairs, and a Gas BBQ, and you will find some Boules in the Utility Room which are ideal to play in the desert garden.

Interaction with guests

The Management company leave a folder with information about the Club and surrounding area. They can arrange baby sitting for you if required, and deliver BBQ packs from the local English Butchers. There is additional information about the villa and WiFi details on a board in the utility room.

I am very happy to be contacted before your visit if you have any queries about the villa, and I could recommend car hire. On receipt of final payment I will send out directions to the villa and the entry code, and some additional information about the area.

The neighborhood

We are in a peaceful neighbourhood on the edge of the club looking over the hills and 'Lion Mountain" and distant views to the Mar Menor which is the best place to swim with young children as this inlet sea is extra warm and very shallow and safe. For swimmers the Club has La Cala Beach 5 minutes away for those who prefer to swim in the Mediterranean. There is a fabulous restaurant there and a visit is recommended.

Getting around

A car is a necessity to get from the airport although taxis can be arranged. It is worth having a car as the Roman Port of Cartagena is just 20 minutes away if you like historical sites, and Murcia just an hour away, if it's not too hot! There is a market in the vicinity most days, but the most popular one is on Sundays in Cabo de Palos, a pretty fishing port where you can have lunch afterwards, or I recommend buying a 'spit roasted chicken' from the market and taking it home to eat.

“Luxurious!”

We have had several holidays now at Las Brisas and absolutely love it. The villa is in a quiet location with easy access to golf, tennis, restaurants and supermarkets, making it a very relaxing holiday. The villa itself is so peaceful with a fabulous pool and various terraces so you always have the option of being in the sun or shade. The owner, Sonia, is always very helpful, and we look forward to our next visit.

If you're looking for the perfect venue for a family or group holiday, then look no further! Not only does the property offer every facility, but there are sun terraces on both sides, so sunbathing is possible all day long; there is also plenty of shade if you want to escape the sun! The pool is of generous size, set in an attractive garden overlooking open hills. This is a quiet location on the edge of the development with no through traffic, but only minutes away from the many activities the Club has to offer. We shall continue to be regular visitors!

we have stayed here three times in two years. we have been as a group of six and a group of seven. the house is situated in a nice quiet area of la manga. it is well set out and has everything you could ask for. a well appointed kitchen with everything you could need. it also has lots of stuff that your kids will need. snorkels liLos toys games etc. the house is immaculate. the marble floors are fantastic especially if it is hot outside. it has a great bbq and seating area. I could not recommend this place enough.

“Excellent Villa to suit everyone”

We stayed here as a family and our two teenagers brought some friends. The Villa was lovely, extremely well equipped, light and airy and with air conditioning. There was plenty of room to eat inside or outside and the pool was excellent for a quick swim. There were plenty of sun loungers as well and a barbecue. The Villa is located in a quiet area but the walk to the main centre is only 10/15 minutes for the bars and restaurants, the tennis centre and the golf, so it was the best of both worlds and everyone had a fabulous time.

If Sonia (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
