Your cottage is located by a very quiet lake. This is a perfect place to go to nature, hike, meditate, rest, watching birds, picking mushrooms, fishing, berry picking, walking in forests or just to get to know local Finnish countryside. still just 1 hour from Tampere and TMP airport.

There is both indoor toilet and also second ecological outdoor toilet, easy to operate electric sauna, shower, well equipped kitchen with microwave.

The space

The cottage itself is very cosy, it is renovated and the interior is very nice. I really recommend you to check the pictures we have taken.

The location of this cottage is really rural and in the middle of wild Finnish nature. Nearest shops are still just 20 minutes drive away.

In lake Niemijärvi there is only 5 other cottages, there is no noisy motorboats allowed and we have tried to keep the place very silent. You may rent a electric motor for your boat, if you like to fish or just wander around the lake.

To reach this cottage you will need a car, the road to the cottage is small road.

We also recommend this location for people with normal ability to walk in the nature, there is natural state paths and few stairways..

Please notice that price includes cottage, boat, firewood and electricity.

Bed linen, towels and final cleaning can be arranged as add-on service for extra price.

EQUIPMENT

The cottage has electric heating and a fireplace that provides a comfortable atmosphere and extra warmth. The cottage also has functional wifi.

BEDROOMS

There are two bedrooms in the cottage. Both have two 90 cm wide beds .

If you need bed linen and towels, you can rent them separately from us at 10 e / person / stay

KITCHEN AND BBQ

The kitchen has cooking utensils, a dining table and tableware for 6 people. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, fridge and freezer. There is also an open fire next to the cottage, for example, for sausage cooking. Water to the cottage comes from own well, it is fresh and suitable for drinking and cooking.

SAUNA, SHOWER AND WC

The cottage has a rapidly warming electric sauna, and the sauna room has a shower. The cottage has a toilet seat in the bathroom and there is an outside toilet in the yard.

SURROUNDINGS

There is a small terrace next to the cottage, where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. There is a private pier where you can take a dip in the swim. You have a rowing boat available, and on request we also provide boating vests.

FISHING

If you want to fish and you are 18-64 years old, you have to pay a state fisheries management fee. Example prices day, 15 e / 7 day. The payment can be made most conveniently in the online shop at Eräluvat. You can also rent a quiet electric outboard motor for 15 euros per day.

PETS

Pets are not allowed.

LINEN AND TOWELS

Bed linen and towels are required for 10 e / person / stay.

FINAL CLEANING

You can order final cleaning in advance or during your stay. The final cleaning price is 60 €. If you do the cleaning yourself, the cottage has the necessary cleaning equipment and materials. Clean up on the day of departure!

If you order a final cleaning, you still should do this:

• Wash the dishes and put them in place

• Clean the barbecue

• Collect bottles and cans in the bag

• move the furniture in place

• Leave the bed linen on top of the bed

• Take away the food items you brought

• If you have pets, clean the hair and clean up the waste

If you do the final cleaning yourself, do the following:

• clean mats outdoor

• Wipe the floors with a damp mop

• Wipe the tables and levels with a damp cloth

• Ventilate the bedding outdoors

• wash toilet and sauna

• Take the trash to the waste point

Guest access

The cottage is located in Orivesi, about 70 km from Tampere. The drive from Tampere is less than 1 hour and from Jyväskylä to 1.5 hours. To get to the cottage, you need a car. There is a parking space next to the cottage.

Other things to note

The cottage is best suited for adults who are able to move normally as there are differences in altitude and wooded terrain. We recommend that you include the outdoor shoes, warm and rainy clothing suitable for the cottage life, and rubber boots.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
