The new building of "Magic Ionian" guesthouse is located only 1 km away from the center of Himara, in Potami (River) beach, alongside the national road that connects Himara with Vlora (in the north) and Saranda (in the south). Magic Ionian Villa is built not just near the sea but only one single step from a private beach with crystal clear waters. It offers a unique experience to nature-lovers who have the chance to enjoy the Ionian coast and have great times overlooking the sea, watching the exceptional sunsets-and dawns. Our guesthouse offers a variety of rooms for every type and flavor. The rooms are available with a double bed (double bed-rooms with balcony) or 1 double plus 1 single bed (one-bedroom apartments with balcony). Each of the rooms is comfort and a has a unique view by the Ionian Sea and the surrounding mountains.

“Amazing location and experience in the Southern Albanian Riviera”

My family and I along with a couple of other families have been spending a week every year for the last 8 years in the beautiful southern coast of Albania. Last year we found Magic Ionian and the experience was so wonderful that we decided to book another week for this year by the time we left. The villa is beautiful and perfectly situated. It has everything you need for a great vacation. You are sitting right on front of the Ionian Sea with incredible views of the sunsets in Himara. It is very private which is something we truly loved. We travel with young children and this place was just perfect for them. But, we saw many couples without children who also frequented the villa. The units are well maintained and equipped with kitchen and all the utensils needed for cooking in the room. Less than 5 minutes walking distance there are several hotels and restaurants in Potami Beach where one can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We did that last year and loved it. It's great to have several choices. Then, just five minutes away via car, there are even more choices in the center of Himara. We spent every single day (morning and afternoon) sitting in the private beach right in front of the villa and loved doing that. This place is managed by a father and son. They have a great attitude and are always looking for ways to make the stay for their guests as pleasant as possible. The son, Petro, is one of the nicest young men I know with superb customer service skills and attitude. My communication with him has been pleasant and very professional since in the beginning. I highly recommend this place whether you are looking to spend time with family, friends or just as a couple. You will not be disappointed. We can't wait to spend another 8 days at Magic Ionian again this summer.

Plus: Incredibly gorgeous view from the large balcony, you can wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the waves, quiet neighborhood, nearby shops and pubs, beach and sea clean, the house goes straight to the beach with guest apartment, available for umbrellas and sun loungers. We had a shaded parking place on the property. It's nice that after a week we had been changed towels and bedding. Pleasant, helpful and friendly owners. Minus: Suite with Balcony (witch we rented), so really big room with a kitchenette - there is no separate bedroom, as implied by the description on the booking, its surface it is less than 50 m2. A few things that would enhance the comfort of living are: electrical outlet in the bathroom, bedside lamp beside the bed, and no air conditioning in this hot climate. Apartment isn't clean enough: ants in the kitchen, fridge, where upon arrival was full of water, oven or not the first clean.
