Downstairs is an en-suite double room and a semi-ensuite twin room. Upstairs is a large, light and airy loft area which sleeps 4 on two single beds and a bunk bed. All rooms have fitted double wardrobes, dressing tables with mirrors and hairdryers.

Upstairs is a large, light and airy loft area which sleeps 4 on two single beds and a bunk bed. All rooms have fitted double wardrobes, dressing tables with mirrors and hairdryers.

The loft has a 2-seater sofa, bean bags and flat screen TV, which makes it an ideal separate living area for the kids. There is also a handmade wooden cot for the very little. All bedrooms have ceiling fans in addition to air-conditioning. Linen and towels are provided.

The lounge, with the dining area to the rear, has direct access to the outside entertainment area, which is where you'll probably spend most of your time when you're not out on Safari.

There is 1 three-seater sofa, 1 two-seater sofa, 1 arm chair and a coffee table for your comfort. The flat-screen television is housed in a cabinet and French doors open out onto the decking.

The dining area has a 6-seater wooden table. The fully equipped kitchen houses everything you would expect: an oven and hob with extractor fan, washer/dryer, large fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. With plenty storage space and granite work surfaces throughout.

The wooden-decked entertainment area outside is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon reading a book or an evening cooking and recounting your adventures of the day. Like any truly South African abode Cambalala is equipped with a large built-in braai (barbeque) with storage and work surfaces to cater for all your al-fresco eating needs. Alternatively, there are many great restaurants in the area including the one in the Kruger Park Lodge resort itself.

The Mpumalanga region

Mpumalanga, which means “land of the rising sun” in the local SiSwati language, offers you from exhilarating wildlife, to secluded mountain retreats, wild water sports and some of South Africa’s most diverse and vibrant African cultures. Mpumalanga is not a highly developed province and visitors to the province are brought closer to nature and a more traditional South Africa.

Kruger National Park

This world renowned wildlife sanctuary is virtually on your doorstep and offers one the ideal opportunity to view the Big 5 and other fascinating animals in their natural environment.

Shangana Cultural Village

Just 4km outside of Hazyview the residents of the traditional villages of Shangana invite guests to share in the way of life of the Shangaan people. The picturesque villages are set in the shade of ancient trees in a reserve of forest and grassland, and are open every day.

Natural landmarks (The panorama route)

Central to panorama tourist route is the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world. It ranks as one of the most spectacular sights in Africa. This great escarpment is the kind of place where brochures and guide books run out of original adjectives to describe the fresh mountain scenery and magnificent panoramic views over cliffs rising 600m-800m from the river bed. The entire canyon extends over twenty kilometers in length.

“Beautiful place and comfortable stay”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2015

We rented two of the units as we were a very large group. Kruger Park Lodge, the property on which Cambalala is situated, is HUGE, the place is ginormous and beautiful. The bedding was comfortable, the place clean and all basic kitchen utensils were provided. We planned to cook our own food and were carrying our utensils, but didn't need to unpack them as everything was provided and was of good quality. Add to that the very competitive pricing and you have the best place to stay at in Hazyview. Would definitely stay there again and recommend the same to everyone.

“Really fantastic place to stay”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2015

It is a great place to stay with family or friends. The lodge is very central and very close to the park. A really lovely place to stay

“Amazing”

Reviewed 11 May 2015

Thank you so much . This was my second stay and it will not be my last. The unit is clean and the Lodge staff are very helpful and friendly

“Great place..!”

Reviewed 11 May 2015

We have had a wonderful time at cambalala, the house is spacious, well equipped and situated in a very nice resort area. Definitely puts one in a holiday spirit ! The resort is situated close to Phabeni Gate and Hazy view mall so very convenient all in all. The only critical point we can think of is the lack of WiFi (only available at hotel reception at a cost), this is just very inconvenient for a modern family in 2015..!

“Excellent stay - far too short”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2015

The only regrets that we have about this stay, is that it was only overnight. The fittings and furniture were very serviceable and the unit was VERY clean!

“a piece of paradise”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2015

what an amazing time we had at Cambalala!! an absolutely stunning and tranquil place (except for the naughty monkeys). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back:)

“Great GetaWay”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2015

Secure peaceful, well maintained and spacious units. Restuarant staff were great fun, we positioned for access to Kruger Park, Gods Window, Bourkes luck, the big swing etc

“Great gated community on a golf course”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2015

Beautiful red brick villas in a gated community on a golf course. Lots of wild animals running around in this area and there is even a hippo hideout. (we saw three which were coming very close to the wooden visitor's platform) The golf villa itself is in good shape- not luxurious but well equipped and worth the money. we would definitely stay again. Try the good food in the golf restaurant - not expensive but very delicious.
