After several holidays here we fell in love with Galicia, and 11 years ago, decided to move here with our 2 children, and dogs.Galicia has become much more accessible with flights to Galicia with Ryanair, Easy Jet and Vueling, you can leave home in the morning and be eating tapas by lunchtime!
Holidays in Galicia, unlike the rest of Spain, are relatively new, so be sure to bring your phrase book, but to the Spanish it has been a very well kept secret, with beautiful beaches, historic towns and wonderful green countryside, it´s no wonder that this is where the Spanish choose to spend their holidays.
Pontevedra has its own micro-climate - warm all year and much drier than further north, so it's definitely not just a summer destination, it's perfect for holidays and short breaks all year round too.
Food in Galicia comes mainly from the sea, with wonderful fresh mussels, crab, squid and not forgetting what Galicia is famous for, pulpo (octopus drizzled in olive oil and sea salt) you have to try it! We live locally and are able to help with all aspects of your holiday, where to go, what to do and where to find some real hidden gems.
If you are a fisherman or just fancy having a go at catching your dinner. From May to the end of September the Ria offers excellent sea bass fishing and we can tell you excactly the best spots to fish from.
We can also do a bit of dolphin spotting at the same time.
Because we live locally we are on call for any problems that might arise during your stay,
