Close to nightlife, town square, countryside, river, hiking, shops, galleries, restaurants, bars, town centre, this old forge is located on the border of the tourist and resident. Its unique ambiance, garden and eccentric design of our artist home is anything but sterile. Forget impersonal hotels, come and share our home, filled with art, music and thousands of books.
This is a 200 year old forge, part of which was demolished ages ago, when the main road was being built, house sunk a little and it is now tilting downhill, like tower of Pisa.
Our home is very large, although not appearing so from the road side. It houses three guest bedrooms, photo atelier/apartment available for guests, my painting atelier on the ground floor, which ocassionally doubles up as an artist club or a bedroom and our personal space of 6 bedrooms in the attic.
Blue room is the first on the right from the main door, located in the space, that used to be a kitchen, many years ago.
Windows are large and they are overlooking the School of Arts over the main road.

For those expecting hotel services, I stress that I do not run a hotel. There is no 24 reception, no doorman, no breakfast in bed, unless you want to prepare it for me. ;0)
There is no staff to serve you nor servise you, there is myself and my family members, who juggle the day life with guest arrivals. ;0).
I share my home with my four children, three of them are adults, a musician, a sculptor and a teacher/scenic designer. There are two art students living in the house too, painter and a photographer.
I work full time as a kindergarten teacher and often travel for my theatre shows as I am a theatre actor.
I might happen to be at home after 5 pm, otherwise you will find my adult children here, who will assist you.
This is not a place specifically bought for rental business, but a real home with real home owners living in it.
I will much appreciate your respecting of other guests, of night peace after 10 pm, some guests tend to sleep earlier than others and of course, of respecting privacy.
If you are not sure about something, ask. My number, in case no one is at home, is on the mirror in the entrance hall.
I have had heaters and boilers destroyed due to people turning everything they should not touch, turn on or turn off.
If I have a chance and/or time, I am happy to invite you into my atelier for a cup of coffee, chat or a glass of wine.
Welcome to my world.
