Description

Lothian House is located 30 minutes from Cape Town Airport. This 5 star house is similar to an Aman style resort, situated on an award winning wine estate, located in the Kogelberg World Heritage Biosphere reserve, home to one of the most diverse ecology's on the planet.

The house is an architecturally triumph, it was recently completed to the highest European finishes, providing unsurpassed levels of comfort, luxury and style blended with privacy and security, all stunningly nestled into beautifuly designed and manicured flower gardens, lawns and fruit laden orchards, overlooking a picture postcard river on one side and the expansive Applethwaite Lake and Lothian award winning vineyard on the other. Every beautifully designed bedroom has an equally luxurious ensuite bathroom and private sundeck with majestic mountains all around.

The house and grounds feature every conceivable amusement from our stables, to jet ski's, ski-boat and paddle boards. Perhaps some fly-fishing on the lake; that is the envy of every fisherman in the cape (keep in mind you have a 3 km of river to amuse yourself in/on. Swings/slides, and a trampoline await the young ones, to soccer/croquet lawn or tennis/hiking/gym for the more energetic .

There is a 25m eternity edged pool, 8 person Jacuzzi, fully kitted out Gym and Sauna; an in-pool bar, multiple dining areas including a lily pad on the rivers edge - replete with fire pit, a favourite place to enjoy cocktails as the sun goes down. We have plenty to amuse the adults too, and plenty of places to just relax and enjoy being with your friends, or away cuddled up in a quiet nook with book or parner -as the mood takes you.

The amenities are too many to list, but to name a few of the more eclectic: Wake-boarding, Waterski, Air-Hockey to multiple cocktail bars, and the latest in-house Entertainment Systems, you have plenty to do regardless of the time or weather.

The staff are available to pamper the most discerning guests upon request, but can also make themselves almost invisible. The staff are truly brilliant, and match the quality/excellence of the house. We suggest starting the morning perhaps with a private Yoga teacher on your private deck or perhaps with a group of friends, or perhaps a set of Tennis- followed by a massage.

Whatever the age group of your guests, they are going to feel they have gone to Heaven. This is a home for the remarkable holiday, we don't do mundane here!. This house thrives on people, it's an entertaining heaven, it's for the special event in your life,for the the individual who has achieved, and wants to share their success with their family and friends.

Film scouts ranks this house in the top 2 homes on the continent. Top-Billing called it a Utopia! (viewable on Youtube).

There is a fabulously cute fishing Lodge nestled in a bend of the river with 3 Bedrooms, sitting room and kitchen, that can house in comfort and style more guests should extra beds be required for special events (its a very short walk to the main house).

Nature's finest hour has been complemented with a house without equal, with a cellar stocked with award winning Lothian Wines.

How do damage deposits work?
