Illalangi is a luxurious boutique cottage boasting the beautiful combination of original charm and modern convenience. This classic weatherboard from the turn of the century, once the home of Blackheath's earliest baker and grocer, has been elegantly renovated to capture the quaint and cozy character of a bygone era while at the same time providing all the modern comforts you could wish for.

This beautiful mountain retreat offers countless luxuries such as a gourmet country style eat-in kitchen, aged Italian leather lounge, large TV, clawfoot bath, separate sun-splashed sitting room, peaceful mountain garden with leafy outlook, and a slow combustion heater for the real mountain cabin atmosphere.

There is ample accommodation for 6 people, with two luxurious queen sized rooms, and a third bedroom with cozy single bunk beds. If required, the sofa bed in the front sitting room can fit two more people.

This is a place to enjoy a cup of tea while soaking up the sunshine on the front veranda, or take a lungful of the clear mountain air while strolling around the garden. Enjoy the quietness, relaxing with a good book in the sitting room, or cook up a feast in the gourmet kitchen. The choice is yours.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
